You better believe it, im not sure about anywhere else but in Southern Cali its a big thing (For some reason the OC seems to be the only acception) Theres a lot of sayings going around.. like "Dont sag if you dont bang" and there are people that have actually gotten jumped and shot for that. Wearing al red or all blue in L.A. south central, its basically suicide.

it definitely does at my school. wearing all red or blue means you're a gang banger. and if you're just a wannabe, you get jumped anyways.

it's still pretty stupid though. i mean, i live in the suburbs. so these "gang bangers" aren't for real. they're just punk asses.

"dressing hip-hop" i dont think that there is such a thing as dressing hip-hop but i know what you were trying to say. i live in california and everyone dresses the way they please. why should anyone be concerned with what someone else is wearing. and i wear southpole and ecko btw. they dont just make their clothes for one certain group of people. anyways thats my thoughts.

The hat, its all good... nothin' should happen. Blue and red, its all coo, just dont wear ALL red or ALL blue. Actually naw it doesn't matter. There are a lot of gangs around that sport red and blue around its just the cripz and bloods are 2 of the biggest around.

To Funky Buddha, woah! Well I mean if you wear all out red or blue and act like you're gangster, people tend to get the wrong idea, around here in San Diego. There was a crip fight at my bf's niece's b-day party and EVEN if you "represent" the gang that attends the party, if you aren't a real member, you get jumped. Dressing and acting gangster... well it's popular to a certain extent. I only know a few that actually do act gangster, though they're not in a gang or anything.

I think it just depends on the environment that you're in.. in certain areas where it's not as.. umm.. "ghetto," there tends to be little or no representation of gangster-ness.

Thats how it is here in the OC, people try but there is no actual gangs around. Well there is but they only come here from time to time, I heard the reason being is becuause of another supposed gang around here but im big on that I keep a look around and I dont know anything about another gang, the next closest one is in Fullerton and those are the AbZ's. BTW the gang im talking about is TRG (Tiny Rasckals Gang)

Problem here with Orange, peopel act too much, they think their bigger then everybody else.. that is until you get up to 'em and show them whats up then they start getting smart.

EDIT- If you decide to hit the courts, just play, thats all you do. Don't try anything like showboating or w/e just play. Trust me, its happened before >.<

I from the south and people mostly wear South Pole down here. It really doens't matter down here unless your in DALLAS where crime has gone up this year. Anyway the clothes dont really matter in the south that much its just a matter of who you associate with that determines whether or not you get your ass kicked when your off in a club or something.

However you should never where British Knights shoes or Calvin Klein Jeans in a dangerous neighborhood in Cali.

^^why dont you wear one and find out? Better yet, why dont you dress in all blue and wear a blue doo rag since you live in NY anyway? That should be a story XD

Ok fine to answer your question, its to signify that you are in a gang. The color of your clothes really dont mean anything to a REAL OG, Tattoos, Doo Rags, Bands, all that is what really signify's if you are an actual "G" or not.

Yeah neither do I. But the color of your clothes should mean nothing doesn't matter if you roc it every damn day. Most likely the only people your gonna get bugged are by those that act and pretend to be a "G" much like those like Jason except not like Jason because they dont act all stupid like him.

i dont care how anyone else dresses around here. and if they have anything wrong with the things i wear.. well they can ...( i dont think you wana know). theres some kids around here that are affiliated with the bloods and crips.. but they are really a threat because they are in maryland, and their gangs are in cali.. so they cant act all tough.

and jason.. wtf... stfu.. dont contribute to any more threads with the words hip hop or gangsta in them.

ummm... how does that indicate that they are a crip? its the colors they wear, not the style, because anybody wears doo rags, caps, and bandanas... and espeically rocawear and camo.

stay away from people with doo-rags. are you kidding? do you know how many people wear doo-rags? and no, they're not all "gangster". a lot of the time they wear it for style. calm down dude.

and doo-rags are worn to get waves in your hair... and no, white and asian people do not have the right texture of hair for it to work... just in case you were thinking about it.
