I don't think there's been any kind of topic on this, but...
What's your favorite local band from... your area, obviousy?

Purevolume

Myspace

And that....... is Taking Lottie Home. Local Atlanta band. wub.gif I recommend that you all listen to "A Memory... A Keepsake." It's a classic.

I'm so proud of them. I'm pretty close with all of them. I've known them for a while and I'm even starting to date one of them. tongue.gif ( the guy in my sig thing... *coughcough* )
But really. They're some of the best kids I know, they're some of my closest friends. I'm really very proud to know them as well as I do.

So, let's hear some of your favorites!! _smile.gif

Heh, yeah. And Sherwood is the first band I ever saw live.

On their PV and Myspace it used to say "San Jose, CA" but then they f**king changed it.

My Favorite
http://www.xanga.com/daywhack
That is the xanga of one of my friends who is in it. I lost their webpage. XD

and

Harry and the Potters
http://www.eskimolabs.com/hp/
(Okay, so Harry and the Potters aren't local to here, but they are local in Boston. Yay, Seph and Paul! ...Even though they formed F U Florida after touring here... I don't like Florida either, but it feels like an insult to people who live here, even though Seph said it wasn't us.)

Meh.
My town and state don't support the local music scene that well.

I like this one band though...
They're called Her Seduction.
I saw them once. Pretty good, I must say. I'm not sure if they have a site though.

Oh, and there is this band called If I Die. I think they're local, but I'm not sure. My ex saw them and said they were pretty good. I haven't seen them though.

Descension- local black metal, very good and the guys in it are very cool.
Evermourn- local hardcore with a shot old school heavy metal. very friendly.
A Parasitic Romance- local hardcore, so-so, went to school with most of the people in it. might be broken up by now....
God Project- local industrial, they kickass. forgot their website.
Burned At The Stake- my boyfriend's band. broken up for now, planning to re-form when my bf gets back from Nebraska.

*sigh*

if we're including famous local bands, then I'll count Puddle of Mudd, even though I can't f*ing stand them.
