Does anyone have any thoughts or further information upon this almost random school shooting? He had also posted violent flash movies at the site of www.newgrounds.com with one called 'Target Practice' and the other 'Clown' .

Do you think his motives (what were given) are plausible or not?

I think it was awful what he did..didn't he kill his grandparents first...then shoot kids he didn't even know? I don't know very much about this case, but apparently he was often teased and he was depressed.

i heard he also had a livejournal.

i think it's sad that he was tormented, but his actions were way too extreme.

But the thing is that this is common, in the sense that a lot of kids hold in their anger and problems and then it all comes out at once(in a n extreme fashion) but not so extreme that it makes it in the news/ to the media ; it's just the way they choose to deal with their anger

I'm not defending him one bit, I'm just saying there is more to blaming just him.

exactly, its sadd if i felt that way. i mean people could of prevented this. i try to make people laugh but i try not to exclude people just because of the way they are or look or dress. think before you do something. cause some of my friends call my other friends losers but i try not to absorb that and conform and think the same way i try to become friends with everyone. cause God forbid if i was a long i would probably do the same thing. its not his fault he just felt that he didnt have anybody there. im not saying im perfect but just try not to exclude other people, try to make friends. its really sad that he had to go do that. i was about to start crying cause hes my age. and i went through depression for 3 months and i wanted to kill myself but still i got through that by talking to my friends.

i just wanna tell everyone dont exclude people just because they are different. instead welcome them and try to make friends. i really dont wanna see this happen again its sad but i hope he is happier now.

smile4me, i love your signature! it's stitch! i love stitch!

anyways; on the topic:

if someone is determined to kill people in a school, they'll succeed. there's no way they won't

sure, they won't kill everyone because of the fire escapes... but 3 unarmed security guards and 2 police officers for 1700 students and 200 teachers is not enough.

Thats a good message to put forth, including a personal experience also helps.
- I want to restate a point you mentioned, that this was very avoidable and the community should take some action to inquire that this sort of thing doesn't happen.
