Wow, I'm very happy with the cast. All of them fit perfectly in the roles, they're all I imagined them to be. I'm especially pleased with Alexis Bledel as Lena. =] Can't wait!

Oh, and the guy that plays Kostos is hot.

My sister and mom started reading the series. I'm curious as to whether or not the movie will be a disappointment for the readers. I might just watch the movie then read the books, that way I don't run the risk of getting pissed off while watching the movie.

reasons why they did a shitty job with casting:

1. that america person is playing carmen?! but she was supposed to be hot, or whatever
2. alexis bledel is not greek. everything about lena is based around her being greek. and she isnt!
3. that amber person looks ridiculous as tibby
4. err...bridget is ok, but out of principle, they couldve done better

Eh. Alexis Bledel looks Greek enough. At least they didn't cast Lindsay Lohan as someone (coughGOSSIPGIRLcough).

I guess what I meant to say is, I'm happy with the casting in the sense that they're good actresses (well, not so sure about Carmen or Bridget, but from the trailer they look like they're good). Oh, and in the book Carmen is Puerto Rican, and she's bottom heavy. I don't know, I don't see why someone bottome heavy couldn't be considered hot. But eh.

And isn't Tibby supposed to have short hair? blink.gif Eh. But I love Amber Tamblyn.

omfg. i know. that pisses me off.

but anyway, the only part of the cast that really, really, bothers me is carmen, eric, and kostos.

i think the casting of bridget and carmen are perfect.. tibby they could have done a little better (i thought she'd be more "dark" looking). but i totally disagree with having alexis bledel play lena. I pictured lena as gorgeous with olive skin, green eyes and dark hair.. she just doesn't look like she belongs, ya know?

eric isn't too good of a fit either. and kostos doesn't look foreign enough, haha.

but still looking forward to this. good books.

I'm really looking forward to the movie, because I <3 the books. People say the series sucks. Well, suit yourself.

What got me bothered was that

1) None of the girls looked like how I'd pictured them.
2) Kostos isn't that hot / foreign looking.
3) No Effie? Please.
4) The little growing doubt that it might let fans of the series down.

mhm..i only read the first one myself. but alexis bledel? come on, she doesn't really seem to fit the role quite well. i must say, they did a bad job with the casting. and i don't think that the movie will live up to the book. the book is not really "disney" material, if you know what i mean.

Except i know if i see it, i'm probably going to cry, that's how the story was shaping up. lol, that blonde chick looks totally like my friend Kaylyn. crazy. I dunno if i'm going to see it, but it looks good tho :) Apparently, it's a book series? Must be good, lol

Yeah I want to watch that. It seems like an interesting type of movie to watch. I wish I have friends like that where we put in circles of trust. Not like Meet the Fockers uh-hum lol. Anyways, I think the actress from Gilmore girl is gorgeous. It's awesome and cool that she's becoming more famous now. It seems like it. I mean I just saw her in seventeen cover or was it cosmo girl. Whatever, anyways... I thought she would be younger. But she's o_o;; 23 or like 22? she's old.

I plan on reading the books later on. But I have seen the movie...and WOW. I loved every second of it. It was brilliant =] My girlfriends and I were laughing at one moment, then crying at another..just a great movie. And the funny thing is, it really did change our lives. We were always planning on going to Europe, but after seeing that movie, we made it official. haha, we are nerds =]

The movie on its own is really great, but it didn't really follow the books... I like the books better. happy.gif

i loved the books. they are amazing. i still have to read the 3rd sisterhood though.

they changed the book to make lena and kostos all romeo and juliet. which was... annoying. but i guess for hollywood purposes or whatnot.
