a child prodigy, positive/negative effects.

as you know, the 14 year old child prodigy, who had attended Nebraska Univeristy..committed suicide.
anyways, im supposed to write a paper on child prodigy, and what do you guys think are some positive and negative points in being a child prodigy?

Negative points in being a child prodigy? I'm not one, but I know one negative point.. High expectations. People tend to expect too much from child prodigies, imo.

the social isolation is a big disadvantage. nobody on campus would want to hang out with a 14-year-old, unless it was out of sympathy.

you might think they might have not friends since they all young and smart but then u never know how many kids can be used for hw and stuff... you know, since there the younger fish in the sea and u got sharks all over you.

the negative points i think is not fitting in with his/her age group..high expectations..well basically what everyone above me said...
