Could someone get pregnant without having sex? because i was just thinking...what if you were taking a bath and there were extra sperm in there and it somehow..got you pregnant

is that even possible?

first of all..why would there be sperm in a bathtub??

you can only get pregate if the sperm entres you and go deeps inside..like woosh. so i dno..there might be a possiblity if someone shoves a handfull of sperm infested water up your hole. but then again..can sperm live in air?

i dunno, there was that urban legend that a woman got pregnant from her 5 year old son's sperm left over in a bathtub. supposedly he was masturbating and after his bath his mom wanted to conserve water, and she took a bath in the sperm filled water and got pregnant. yea i dunno if its true, but its what people say blink.gif

think about this question logically.... when a penis enters the vagina, It goes in pretty deep. Sperm can only live on the outside for what... 5-7 days? But when you're in a bathtub, if sperm somehow got near your area, it wouldn't be able to reach where it would usually attach itself to the vaginal wall during intercourse. So, based on that, I'd say it isn't possible, but I could be wrong.

no its impossible. its hard enough for the sperm to impregnate you in the vagina, so if its in a bathtub it IS impossible. if some sperm got over the front of your vagina it wouldnt get u pregnant either. its gotta be way up there.
learned all this in bio lol
and about that urban legend.. 5 year olds cant ejaculate.

Yes, it is possible. I have this book of weird facts, and a lady who was swimming in a public pool was impregnated by sperm that was floating around. Gross, I know...becoming pregnant by sperm from some dude you don't know who's been masturbating in a public pool...

Well that's what an urban legend is: 99% of time time it's not true. I've heard this urban legend, and trust me, the sperm would probably die before it got anywhere near the woman.

I don't think that is true. Guys have to go through puberty before they can ejaculate. The sperm has to enter the vagina. I mean go in deep, so it is not possible.

hm, no it's not possible. someone told me that sperm has only a limited time to actually live and thats where it goes looking for the egg. so then no.. it's not possible.

Ok, ok, heres the bottom line.
I know this answer, because my sister is a nurse, and i asked her once


No, you cannot get pregnant if sperm is in the pool or bathtub.

k, first, sperm only live outside for a few hours, not days.

second, though this is gross, the fluids immediatly inside your vagina are acidic, it would kill the sperm if they placed there, that's why it has to go deep inside a person to get a girl pregnant. it has to get past the acidity

and third, sperm has a thin cell membrane. if sperm were in water it would burst, because too much pressure would be pushing on the cell wall. just like you go down too deep in the ocean it gets hard to breathe n stuff

and, chlorine would kill sperm in a swimming pool

*whew* that was a lot

That rumor about the woman getting pregnant from her 5-year old son is not true. It's impossible.

And yeah, you could get pregnant without having sex, but not the way you're thinking. Go to the bank or wherever it's held; I forget. But you can buy sperm contained in bottles or something. Then you're supposed to stick it inside of your vagina, and it dissolves and the sperm is released. Or something like that. I'm not sure; I don't study this stuff. wink.gif
