Okay I have a job interview scheduled this Friday. Since I've never been to one, what questions would they generally ask? How should I prepare for it, if I even need to at all. I really want/need this job, any tips would be nice.
thanx. |

make sure you shake their hand and have eye contact the whole time. Just be honest and casual.

Sit up straight and be on your best behavior. Dress well, no jeans. Just be honest, and think about things they might ask (example: "why do want this job?" "why would we benefit from hiring you?").
Good luck! |

I think they ask you why you think you'd be qualified for the job, and whatnot

Yeah, i would do what they say. smile, keep eye contact, be honest, and don't dress sloppy.
i've had 3 job interviews (Waitressing, RA, and tour guide, which i got the jobs for) and i'm about to do an interview for my internship i've gotten questions like: what personality traits do you have that are good for this job? how do you see this job benefitting you in the long run? how would you handle an upset customer? what do you hope to gain in experience from this job? did you have any other jobs before this? what did you do? why did you leave? stuff like that. it also helps to research your company you go to interview for. for example, if you are using a computer, you could say something like "well, i know your company uses this type of system, and i am familiar with it" showing that you did research about the company shows that you're interested. lastly, make sure you arrive on time, and follow up with a thank you note. i've aced all interviews by following these little guidelines, i hope all works out well for you :) good luck |

eye contact, try not to look tired even if you are, posture, neat hair, tied shoes, know what you're talking about and dont go off on a tangent, and smile.
and BE PUNCTUAL. |

Make your actions show that you really want the job but don't come right out and say it...(kinda tacky)...and have a really upbeat and positive attitiude. ..... Good Luck!

they ususally ask why you think you are suitable for this job..and whether you had any experiences.
a tip? when they ask you if you have further questions on your job...dont just say no...ASK SOMETHING..such as asking the interviewer how he/she likes his/her job..and how it has been like...ppl always like to talk about themselves..and this also helps them think that you are actually interested in this position. |
