uhh its ok i like your banner's quality its great.. but i dont like what u did with the edges.. it would look better with just a black outline. and your video player is way too small try resizing it.. well i guess it ok??

It's simple, but I think you should change the blog's font to a different one. Times doesn't really work for blog text.

It looks a little too plain..maybe add some effects to the banner. and change the font like everyone else said.
