Ok, to clear this up...

Based on talent alone, the New York Yankees are the best franchise in the history of Major League Baseball. They're also a bunch (insert insulting obscenity here).

I'm going with the Sox. I never liked Pedro, but as a team, as an organization, they have true baseball character.

No. You can still like them. I'm saying you can't say Red Sox > Yankees.

I've been a Knicks fan all my life, but when they had their bad seasons a few years ago, I wasn't going around saying they were better than the Lakers.
