ok so i'm tryin to use telnet to hack my own website...dont ask why...and my internet connection (comcast highspeed) has blcoked the use of TELNET...anyone no how i can get it to work?

Ugh, i hate comcast. But after i found out i how slow verizon was, i wanted cable back. And i cant help u.

comcast cable that bad? wow... good thing i dont have neither. neither verizon. i heard that verizon sucks... hehe msn explorer is the best. hmm they probably blocked it because it has virus or something or something bad? i guess that's why they block it. maybe try and taking comcast speed away and change into cable.

Telnet is usually served on port 23, but you can see if your webserver listens on another port, too.
Although, ISP's rarely block telnet. Are you sure you used it correctly? Also, your webserver may not have telnet active. |

Eh...hacking your own site may not exactly be legal. It just depends if you're hosting the site on your own computer or if you're begin hosted by someone. Better check the ToS for that one.
Some ISPs block certain commands such as Telnet, or will ban you. By ban I mean stop providing internet service to you. It all just depends. Be safe, don't get yourself in trouble. |
