So yeah. That new-fangled 2400-point SAT is coming out tomorrow. I'm curious to know how many of y'all are taking it. Also, if you are taking it, are you a junior? Or are you taking it for practice as a sophomore/freshman? What sections do you have trouble on?

For me, my critical reading score is shit. D: And yea, of course I'm taking it tomorrow. I probably wouldn't have made the topic if I weren't. Bleh.

Good luck everyone!

Edit: And on a side note, Teens eager to prove that text messaging improves writing skills on SAT?

But, I'm a junior, and it really counts for me, so I need to do well. I think my weakest point is the writing and critical reading. Bleh.
Good luck to those taking it tomorrow!

Oh, and that reminds me of my friend today. "Oh, we have to register and pay for the SAT? I guess I'm not taking it tomorrow then. mellow.gif"

I missed the deadline for tomorrow's so I'm thinking of taking it in June since it's toward the end of the school year and hopefully I won't have that much hw and I'll have more time to concentrate on SATs.

GOOD LUCK to everyone who's taking it tomorrow!

Wow, good luck to everyone!!!!

i took the SAT's 3 times to get a score i was satisfied with. I then found out that my college is so hard up for money that they would take anyone, no matter what the score.

i thought they were doing away with SAT's? blink.gif

im the opposite. i did well on the writing skills (is that SAT 1 or 2? im vaguely confused) on the PSAT, decently on verbal, but not so well on math. last year i scored higher on math than verbal, and i was seriously concerned

All of the essay prompts are that broad.

"Is creativity neccessary in the world today?"
3 points:
- Without creativity, literature would be dull & repetive; after all, J.K. Rowling is different from William Shakespeare.
- There would be no scientific theories without creativity, like Copernicus' heliocentric theory.
- Without creativity, history repeats itself, like Hitler repeating Napoleon's mistake of invading USSR & Bush's war on Iraq emulating the war with Vietnam.

i had a writing experimental.

didn't take the prep course. way too pricey, and i can practice on my own... except i didn't practice because stuff kept coming up (i.e. math portfolios, essays, chapter tests, etc.) and there was never time to study! ugh!

i'm getting tutored right now....shes not really helping me that much. just with some of the math. as its looking, my math scores should be around the 600s and up and for writing/critical reading definenly high 600s-700s.

Not so-much changed but.. mushed together. You would've had to have written an essay for the writing SAT2 anyways. And that one's five minutes shorter. I prefer having it on the SAT1.
