hey, ok so heres my dilemma when ever i talk to my girlfriend on the phone, i get all nervous and theres these akward moments of silence, i have no clue what to say or to do?! Also weve held hands and all, but like whats the next step?

Yeah, same here, I'm really bad on the phone- I can't stand awkward silences while talking on the phone. Well, after holding hands, hug and kiss her then.

i use to hate talking to my boyfriends on the phone. i guess i learned that it's okay to be stupid and say stupid things with my ex-boyfriend brian. he helped me grow a lot. you just gotta be yourself, don't be scared to tell jokes, say stupid things, random things, etc. being open with eachother is the first step. then you guys can move on to the hugs, kisses, etc.

oh yeah..and even then the relationship might not work...when me & brian broke up...after a while he asked me if it was okay if we became best friends...and now, we're best friends. =)

when you talk to her on the phone dont ask a yes or no question because that will end the question very quickly. try and ask an open ended question^_^

talk about..interests. it won't be weird to bring up movies, or talk about a show you are watching...or what happened that day. try to find out her interests. then you can see what ou have in common, and learn more about eachother to get more comfortable

talking on the phone is always hard unless you be yourself. Make jokes, talk about anything. It's a phone conversation, don't take it so seriously. |
