Well, my family doesn't have that much money, and I only have 2 pair of jeans. No one notices, espically since they are just plain. Now, if yours a like decorated or something, yeah, they may notice, but if they are plain, they wont..

I doubt anyone notices and it really shouldn't matter if they notice anyway.

actually, I think people might. not to scare you off or anything. but heres my thing. I used to shop at the gap nonstop. there was one less then a half a mile from my house. And they had awesome sales. They had one pair of jeans on sale for 8 dollars. 8 dollars!! and they had a bunch in my size and they looked sooooooo good on me, so we bought them all. There were five pair. Some were a little lighter and some were a little darker, but exxentially the exact same jeans. Well, I was kinda chinky and had thick thys and ended up ruining most of my older jeans by wearing the seams raw (sucks) so I ended up wearing those all the time. and I never wore the same pair twice in a week. But then this one chik, really bitchy, said to me, umm, how bout you do us all a favor and change ur pants. u wear them so much you probably dont have time to even wash them. I never really htought about it. but no one beleived that I bought 5 of the same pair of jeans. Luckily the next year at band camp I was able to prove it, cuz over ther summer I cut some off and turned them into capris, and cropped another pair and put decals and stuff on them. So the first day I wore the short ones, and she said behind my back *oh she thinks she can just cut them off and we wont notice they are the same damn jeans?* but then the next day I wore the full length ones to show I must have had more than one pair. it shut her up, but the crappy thing is I had to PROVE it to her. It really sucked. SO! Here s my advice. Cuz people are friggin mean. Try going to places like rainbow (dont kwo if you have that) or vanity or gadzooks or agaci (dont know if you have any of those either) but they are places that have really great sales. Like some of those places have shirts for like, 97 cents. So try going there and seeing if you cant find other jeans, and also, the cropped look is really in, so if you dont want to spend a lot of money, try rolling the cuffs up on jeans that are too short for you and wear them as capris. or even better, look online on how to make a jean skirt from old jeans. Thats really cute too. so all those jeans you got wont go to waste. Just use a little creativity. Its easy to get around being tall. I've been 5'6" since I was in the 4th grade, so when I was younger I grew a lot, really fast. Thats my best advice. good luck, and dont sweat it.

QUOTE and all jeans look the same yeah basically, if you're using the simple typical jeans.. and not from like.. w/ all that vintage look w/ holes.. or the shades of jean is really different. The only people that notice my jeans really is myself, and my closest friends.. |

You can ALWAYS find awesome clothes at either the Goodwill, or a thrift store. Who cares if you buy second-hand; you save so much money by going there, and you can basically find just about anything there.
You should try to get pants in longer sizes, if the problem is with length. American Eagle carries alot of sizes in long lengths, granted, a bit of an expense, but you can always find pants on clearance online, and at their store. Also, you can try Value City; they carry overstock from name brand stores for a cheaper price. And on wearing jeans more than once, I've done that numerous times. As long as the jeans aren't too significant or noticable it should be perfectly good. If you don't want to wash the jeans every day, just wear one pair one day, and the second day wear the other, and wash them that night. Despite what people have said about others judging you and being rude about your choice of clothing, who cares? It's your right to wear whatever you want. You do NOT need to prove anybody but yourself, or please anybody but yourself. |

yeah omg. i keep growing, and i can hardly find pants that fit me.
i have more of a tall and slender frame, so pants that fit my waist, are too short. and pants that are too long sometimes are too tight at the waist. it sucks. i dont own that many pairs of pants cuz my mom hates buying stuff for me. there are like two pairs of pants i actually wear, adn my moms like: ohh, you have enough clothes. |

Jessi, how tall are you? Perhaps buy your jeans a li'l bigger than what you actually need? Technically I am a 30W x 34L... but I also wear 32 x 34, 34 x 34, and 30 x 36.

Actually, I jsut realized, I kind of do have the same problem as you, where everythings too short that's my waist size, I mean. So what I do is jsut tuck them in at the waist at home on my sewing machine, if you don't ahve a sewing machien, jsut do it by hand. It's really easy, and if you do a good job no one can even tell!
![]() or ofcourse you could wear a belt, but I don't like belts much, I prefer tucking it in. I would ahve that aobut that before I posted all the other ones sept it's sjtu so automatic for me, I mean I do it for all the pants I buy and all the hand me downs I get. ![]() Here's some pics of the tuck in my pants: ![]() ![]() The first pic is better, I only took the secodn one cause I wanted to show you where to put the tuck, if you put the tuck to far forward on your pants it looks weird, same with to far back, beleive me, I know ![]() ![]() Hope that helps! ![]() P.S. Sorry for double posting, it's kidna too late now ![]() |

jambaJUICE, sadly that's how most pants are. A lot of my friends are a bit bigger, but on the short sad. For some reason clothing companies think the bigger you are (waist) the taller you are. It's sometimes a bit funny to see my friend Laura in pants that are 4" too long for her, but there's nothing you can do but alter them or leave them as is.
wonders79, you should check out some pants at Pacific Sunwear. They carry up to size fifteen, and each size comes in a "long" version. Though sometimes their pants are on the expensive side (if 39.95 isn't too much). Old Navy sometimes carries decent pants, but eh, I hate that place. For some odd reason, they always make the pants bunch up around the crotch whenever you sit down, if you get the longer length. Or their longer length isn't even that long. American Eagle jeans fit me PERFECTLY in their long lengths. Mainly why I only ever get jeans, or khakis from there. |
