you just need to commit yourself. isn't there some gum...that helps you quit smoking? then you become addicted to the gum...rather then being addicted to smoking..

You can't just quit in one day. Make it a gradual process. Possibly bring it down one cigarette at a time.

What about that gum? Some nicotine gum thingy? But yea, try to gradually stop smoking, day by day.

Reward yourself each week by going to eat your favorite foods and such, for all the days that you slowly smoke 1 cigarette less than the day before.

call 1-800-NO-BUTTS (1800-662-8887). It's a state-wide program that helps people quit for free. You could get materials and/or counseling on the phone.

1) slowly cut back one cigarette a day.
2) patches and gums
3) get a friend or family member to like slap you everytime you get a craving =)

Tell your parents and your friends to take all the drugs from your body. And if your friends do drugs, change friends if you really want to stop doing drugs.

Tell everyone that you're quitting, and hopefully get some encouragement and support from them.

Err... probably chew gum whenever you are craving to smoke?

Anyways, wish you good luck in quitting! flowers.gif

chew on the cigarette. I hear they taste disgusting (that how my friend quit) so when u want it, chew on it. Gross gross gross. And hide the lighters in ur house. And remember, you dont NEED a cigarette. They are bad for you anyway. And they make ur teeth yellow! If you want yellow teeth, drink coffee! Oh, and try this. cut down the amount you smoke each day by one. if you have to, cut it down one a week. But just think how much money you save. If you usually spend 5$ (i dont know how cigs are) for a pack, and buy say 2 packs a week, then if you can cut it down to one pack a week, keep track of the money youve saved, and buy yourself someting nice, or treat yourself to dinner or a massage or soemthing. That way you have a little extra encouragement!! Good luck!
