wut happened to hostima.net ??? all the thing si uploaded there dont; work anymore.... and when i went to the site there is no log in place ....
where are other good places... i tried the big book of resoruces inone of them work for the file i'm tryign to upload are there any sites that have unlimited uploading transfer limit...??

the free accounts have been suspended i think since they talked about billing information and stuff. so, sites with unlimited uploading transfer don't exist. at all. even the ones you pay for i.e. domains, ask for money and you have a limit on that.
what type of file are you trying to upload? |

The word you're looking for is "compress." If you can save the video as a gif or something, but I've never heard of that being done.

DivX it and reduce playback bitrate if your music video doesn't have alot of action

hmm okay i'll try that site... but not sure if sumthing goes wrong i can revernt it to what it use to be... but okay... i dunno how to download the thing.... and how to zip it or sumthing?

Instead of having to revert it to what it "used to be," why don't you save/make a copy and just use that one. So in case something goes wrong, you'll have the original?

See if there's anything on the site that will give you directions. Or play around with it until you get it. I'm sorry but I have no clue. I've never compressed a video before. You should just forget about it and look on one of those video sites and get one from there.

almost all digital videos these days are already compressed. if you're lucky, it might not be compressed well or with the newest compression tools, so you can make it smaller. DivX, above, is a good choice to try out first; but keep in mind, the videos are still huge. if your movie is currently larger than a few minutes, i'd also recommend you to clip maybe a portion you want to show on your site using a video editing tool (divx might include one, i don tknow)
and btw, dont even THINK about using gifs for videos. really, they're absolutely horrible at compression, and they're not designed for any animation for than maybe a few frames--the only reason people use animated gifs is for smaller animations that have to load up quickly |
