you do things to distract yourself

like i got a summer job and an extra carriicular activity when school started, it helped alot

What kind of obsession? Food, TV, bands, people... because some are okay and you don't have to get over them.

I agree...I got over my obsession by doing things that distracted me...it might take a while but you have to look on the bright side.. happy.gif Or..if it's about a boy..which it probably is...go scope out another boy and be gaga over him..hehe _smile.gif

but he's a celeb.. and i just can't have my life forever hanging on something i'll never get. >.<;

an obsession? wow, i wouldnt say that i'm obsessed, just infatuated..and yes i've i've gotten over it..because he didnt like me, and why like someone and waste your time when theyre not putting forth and effort themselves?

lol. well what got me obsessed even more is that greenday is coming to AC [a city 30 mins away from me] to do a concert, and I wanna go so friggin badly. and.. it got me more obsessed just that way. >.<;;
but then again, i dont like'em maybe because these girls i LOATHE like'em like a lot..
rawr. that's a bad reason to not like them. but i still do like'em.. just not as much.

LYKE, OMIGOD.

Okay.. I had this obsession with someone once.. it lasted two fricken chicken years. (How much is that? A lot?) Anyway, I was like totally SECRETLY obsessed with the person that I totally hated the person.. so yeah. That was good.. because now.. I totally hate the person again... so that's good even though I'm on friendly terms... but... seriously. The person was out to kill my esteem.. which was already in the UBERdownlow.. DAMN PERSON. The only person on the phase of this earth awaiting for the lovely demise of me. Nyeh.

God, that was long.

It depends on the obsession.

Basically just distract yourself from it and it'll eventually pass.
