I came across something interesting while I was reading a magazine a couple of days ago. They're making a remake of the movie, Some Like it Hot (which is one of my favorites, by the way)

It seemed a little dumb to me, but to add onto it, guess who is playing Sugar Kane (Marilyn's part)??!!

If you're like me, then you'd think it'd be someone really sexy and girly, but no. No offense to any of her fans here, but it's my opinion.

Julia Roberts will play Sugar Kane. I never was a JR fan, but now this just pisses me off. stubborn.gif


Who would you think would be the best person to play Marilyn Monroe's Sugar Kane? (You don't really have to have seen the movie to pick, just pick the person that'd play a soft voiced, curvy, ditzy blonde)

I haven't seen Some like it hot...but by reading your descriptions....I agree, Julia Roberts doesn't seem like the right person to play the part as " Sugar Kane". But who knows? It could be good =/

Hm. okay....a curvy, ditzy blonde. Brittany Murphy? And Jennifer Aniston is ditzy...maybe her? Bleh. Nevermind.

hmm never seen that movie... but if somebody would play marilyn monroe... i'd say... madonna? she's acted before, and she looks kinda like her... or maybe drew barrymore. or reese witherspoon or kate winslet happy.gif

omg ick..i hate julia roberts..well i dun hate her but i dislike her very much..ever since i saw that movie Nodding Hill..i think it was.. that movie pissed me off cuz it bored me so fricken much..and to answer ur question i think Ana Nicole Smith looks a great deal like Marylin and she is VERY ditsy... i would also say Gwen Stefani..but shes not curvy at all so i dunno...

I don't know who I'd pick to be cast as her (though I've seen some great suggestions). But just about anyone would do better than Julia Roberts. I mean, I actually like her acting, but she simply does not suit the part.

I guess so, but she's just so dainty looking. Marilyn Monroe was 5'4 and weighed 140 lbs. Definitely a lot more to handle than Scarlett.
