im so bad at gussing meanings behind things...so i guess no cookies for me><....oh well i have my own purple cake!! :: chomp:: lol
anywayz, i love this painting...im glad you didnt color the hand n the butterfly....they look awesome black and white with the colourful background...for the hand, maybe you could shade it? i dont know...just a suggestion ^_^...for the butterfly..i have nothing to complain..really love the design |

maybe that everything used to be black and white and then everything got colored? haha i'm terrible at guessing. anyway..beautiful background and great contrast =]

i'm a personal fan of colours, and there are so many in this piece i think i'm in love. perhaps i'll post some of my paintings later on. it seems as if the butterfly is barely escaping...
...or about to be caught by that hand. it makes me sad. thought i interpret on a biased level due to the overwhelming depression in my mind, i still think it's quite sad. i also enjoy how you contrasted the colours or the negative with the black and white positive space, bravo. |

One word, Wow... I love the background colors!!! Hmm, I don't know what ideas that made you do this, but I'll guess! A simple guess from me? LOL... uhhh lets see... hmm nevermind. [without reading any entries] my take is the putting of emotions/moments into words, how once we try to grasp and label such an ethereal thing, it loses all power and meaning (as the butterfly dies).

umm...anything can be beautiful, even in black and white. the hand is either pointing or releasing the butterfly to show how plain it is in such a lively and colorful world, but the butterfly is still pretty, no matter what color it is or how plain it is.
beautiful painting btw. i love the shades of blue and green you used in the bg. |

it look pretty good, i can't paint, and it so hard to mix/blend color.
it just funny how u paint it on a spiral. instead of a canvas or something. |
