Before, one of my best buddies told me, "It was so freaky. I saw my webcam's lens move. Someone was watching me. I was so freaked out."

I'm not sure if she was telling the truth. Lols. But, I believe her all the way. Anyways, I just want to know.. is it possible to watch someone through their webcam without them knowing? Because.. that's scary.

If this topic's already made.. feel free to close. rolleyes.gif and move if it's in the wrong place. =x

you just scared the crap out of me, i have my webcam 'watching' me right now

but yeah i think ppl can watch you through your webcam, if the know how to hack into your comp system. but then agian isn't your webcam connected to your comp only?

My friend's webcam is like that...and before her computer got hacked. So now she keeps a cloth over her webcam so they can't see anything.

If there are people watching, of course...

Eek.. One time I thought I saw the lens move too! pinch.gif Then I unplugged my webcam. After that, I would take out my webcam if I wasn't using it... whistling.gif :]

that's scary...i saw something on the news about stuff like that a while ago...people really can hack into your computer and turn it on or off, do the same thing with your volume button, and do stuff with you webcam... ph34r.gif

yah I heard about that but half the time my webcam's pic are blurry since I play around the focus dial on mine. But what's freaky are those Motion detection webcams..they move when you move.

You can MAKE someone else see you.. that's the whole purpose of a webcam.. but yeah someone can hack it too.. but if someone hacked it.. why would they make the lens move? It'd give 'em away.

yeah i point mine to the wall when i'm using it after my friend told me how her camera would sometimes zoom in while she's using it..or turn on by itself....freaking scared me..what if i was like...picking my nose or picking at a pimple or something?!..no more privacy these days...

yea..there is a way for ppl to watch ur webcam w/o u knowing..if your cam is off they can still turn it on..hackers on the internet theses days do that..it happened to my friend onces..

Yeah of course, someone can see you through your webcam without you knowing. When it's plugged in, it becomes "part" of the computer, therefore allowing hackers and such to access it.

No one can watch you on your webcam unless you turn it on or it's plugged into the computer. Well, I don't have a webcam so I wouldn't know.
