I am suppose to get my belly pierced tommorrow and i am hearing a lot of bs about it. Like the ring hole will get bigger when you are pregnet or you can't even get pregnet. So are these actually true, and for those who had belly piercings..does it hurt more than your ear piercing? Also, how do they pierce it, do they stick a needle or use a gun?

well i am having it done in a store, and i never seen how they did it except in the movie Thirteen, but they did it at home

If you're having second thoughts WHATSOEVER about getting this done, then don't. Find out and educate yourself on how it's done before doing something as drastic as a naval piercing. Trust me...you'll thank yourself for waiting if you do.

i believe they use a needle and one of those clamp things...
 and those rumors are outrageous, you can't get pregnant because you have a hole near your belly button? ridiculous

i know that the hole gets bigger if you leave the ring in when your pregant cause thats what happened to one of my aunts.
and they she said they use a needle. |

A friend of mine got it done and she said it didnt even hurt...just dont look at it

actually, a pierced naval won't prevent you from being pregnant. but if you do have a pierced naval and you're pregnant you're suppose to take it out. the only concerns that you should have about ur naval is avoiding it from becoming infected.

it shouldn`t be that bad as long as you trust the people who are going to pierce your belly. many celebrities had their`s done and i don`t see them complaining. it sounds cool, but kinda freaks me out.

you should have educated yourself before actually getting it done .. but yea
you can still get pregnant when having a belly button ring, however the ring can stretched when you are pregnant. they use a needle and a clamp to hold the skin in place. as for the pain factor, it depends on your pain tolerence. there is a needle going through 7 layers of skin and than back out .. so yea. just keep it clean dont infect it! |

agreed. some people said it hurt a lot, while some said it didn't hurt at all. i agree with the whole 'educating yourself beforehand' thing though.

yeah it looks cool but i don't think i could ever get it done. i got 3 holes in each ear and i might possibly get my ears pierced up top but that's as far as i'll go.
