hmm...after I take a shower I put my hair in a ponytail. When it dries, I take it out and there's a big bump where the hairtie was...and its really annoying! pinch.gif It makes my hair look puffy. Any ideas on what to do to make it go away? (btw, I've tried keeping my hair out after a shower and since my hair is curly, it gets all puffy...)
thanks! _smile.gif

That happens to me, too...just try straightening it by using those hair straighteners you can buy at Walmart or w/e.

i know how you feel, i have really long, really poofy, curly hair and i've always had hell trying to get it straight, so right after i get out of the shower i comb it out and then blowdry it...after its mostly dry i start using a round brush and that gets it pretty straight..then i insist on getting it perfectly straight so i straighten it too. not necessary to do all that and it takes a while...but that's what i do every day happy.gif

I use to straighten my hair A LOT... its bad tho 'cause your hair falls out >.< so then I stopped straightening my hair so I just comb my hair then blow dry it then its straight... my hair's already straight but I just hate it when it goes wavy -.- I suggest u don't put hair up all the time 'cause the wave will get PERMANENT if u tie it everyday...

I would suggest going to a hair specialist to ask about getting rid of frizzy hair..? Because those routine of blowdrying and straightening takes too much time and adds so much to the electricity bill..

i wear a ponytail a lot so i get those "bumps" often.. but i usually just straighten it out.
i bought a hair straightener on sale at target for $16 and it works really good too :)

sometimes im able to just brush it out when that happens or get a spray bottle and spray a little bit of water in it .. but now a lot like and brush it out and your hair will be dry again

id agree wif all of them..jes use a hair straightner (even tho it aint exactly healthy for your hair, as long as it works)..ppl always want the opposite of what they already have..i always wanted curly hair x_x

^ i agree with eveyrhting up there, but also what you can do is just wet your hair and brush through it. cuz straightning isn`t healthy for ur hair.

Yeah that's gross and I never leave my hair unattended after showering unless I decide to leave it down to air-dry b/c my hair is so long. Plllease at least blow-dry your hair at the roots...the ends aren't quite as importent. it'll make your hair more managable and it'll look a lot better. happy.gif

after you take a shower, you're not supposed to wear it in a ponytail. dont ask why.....just don't do it. well.....after you take your shower just brush it and it won't be so puffy.

Don't tie your hair right after you have a shower. Also don't tie your hair with tight hairbands.

Yes, that happens to me too.

I don't use the real thick/tight hairties, instead I use thinner hairties.

The only thing is with the thinner hairties I have to keep fixing my hair and putting it back into a ponytail.

Let it dry and don't blowdry too much.

Hope this helps. wacko.gif pinch.gif
