surely you should be more concerned about things like chat rooms? theres more danger of letting things slip when there's no time to consider what you're saying, rather than xanga, where you can at least preview your posts?

I agree with you. Xanga was to create for a purpose. Like where we get to know some people there and get to know them. Also to make friends. Xanga is cool... It's a mistake for people who putted their names and address... It's not xanga's fault. But that's funny when someone put their home address LOL

I think it's stupid that they would try and take xanga away... i live in the tampa bay area and would be royally pissed if they banned it. if people get stalked or something because xanga its only out of their own stupidity... they should know better... xanga isnt bad it lets people express themselfs. freaking idiots... gosh...

Anyway, I hope they realize that making the general statement that the teenagers who use xanga are naive is somewhat like categorizing everyone into one group. The naive ones they are talking about are the ones that are idiotic to enough to post up all their personal information up there on their site. Instead of listening to the one complaining, why don't they listen to the other side anyway? I don't think the parents taught their child not to put up their personal information. So, whose fault is that? Definitely not xanga and its users.

Obviously, they did not investigate much. I think all they did was look at the xanga sites that the children owned and not even read the FAQs. (Frequently Asked Questions, in case you didn't know.) in the Help Section. Effing idiots.

I don't think Xanga being banned in that district is going to stop people being stalked or kidnapped. I mean, there are other online journals... it's not like it's just Xanga.
