virus help, i need..help with an AIM virus

im sure you guys have noticed it, its where it randomly puts you on away and says something like ' PICTURES FROM THE BEACH!!!! biggrin.gif !!!' its then includes a link, that will give it to you if you click it. do any of you know how to get rid of it? thank you.

i haven't had it yet! but i'd uninstall it and then install it again, maybe? I leave the technology to my brother..

Yah, I think you uninstall AIM then reinstall it, it will go away. I had one like that except it said 'OMG LOOK?!?!?!???!?!?!" and then a link and I just asked my brother to get rid of it since he's a computer genius. But my friend just uninstalled AIM so that should work :D

If you know the .exe name you can manually kill it in safe mode.

yay! uninstalling didnt work, but thats the exact one im talking about. im gonna try it now.

Never ever click wierd links or dl unknown programs. Scan it with antivirus scanners or just highlight, don't click the link to see where it goes. if it like: http://www.359593.org/340349042- or something really long and u not sure where it goes, Don't click it to not get it next time.

bring it to a shop. or defrag your computer. that might help. when we got a virus from aim, we had to get a new computer! _dry.gif

I think you need a new disk drive, cause i had a virus once...
