oh god yes. i got it in the summer, and it was during swimteam. my mom told all our neighbers and my DAD. Everyone went up to me at the swim meat and was like "are you OK? "can you swim tonight" i was like i got a fricking tampon now shutup please

YES!! my mom was talking about me too these people wed never met at this pizza place! I Was like MOM! no! Thats MY period, NOT YOURS! And my dad suggested i go out for swimming and them my mom said well she cant (thinks im incappable of wearing tampons) swim all the time. And my dad was like why not? And my mom said ill tell you later. it was soo embarrasing.

She didn't care. then after a couple of months, my uncle, auntie & her was talking about something & she told them. my uncle was like, "so, when did you start?" i was like "... uh July..." Haha. i didn't really care. but if it's to other people, i'd be like soo embrassed.

No, but i think she did in secret... LIke i came home from school one day and she was like "Jaicy, you've started your period." So she gave me this run-through and she told me that she had told one of the girls from my school's mom and i got really mad... So i told her not to tell anyone. I don't think she told anyone until we went to a wedding during my period and I'm pretty sure she told my aunts when my Aunt came up to me and said "So, Jaicy you're starting to go through your growing time?" and i got really embarassed, because my brother was sitting right next to me...

 I found out in the mornin when I went to the toilet Went into the front room and said "Mum, I think ive started my period" and she asked me if I wanted to use tampons or pads, I said pads and she gave me money to go up the corner shop to buy some. They had these big ones though Was scary

yup, she told my whole family and my grandma..but th'ats about it. ti wasn't embarrising really, the msot embarrising was my grandma cause I needed some advil when I was at her hsoue and it was my first period and I had to explain why I needed advil and ummm, I was too embarrised so my mom told her for me and she like looked at me all weird and was like "already eh?" and I'm like okay....ummm...I donno....
for some reason I foudn that embarrising, but overall it was alright, I was jsut crabby all day lol, I was really embarrised about the wrappers at first tho, I wouldn't jsut toss them in the garbage int eh bathroom, I'd have my own personal garbage bag in my closet and throw them all in there (a real hassle) and then when no one was looking or everyone was out I'd take the garbage bag to the garage and put it in the green garbage container. hahahhaa, what a loser, my mom's wrappers were in the normal garbages so no one owuld ahve noticed anyway  *sigh* I was a pathetic kid, still am

kind of. I told her the day after i got my period, i didn't kno how to tell her I had it, so then I told her the next day then she was like, "really?oh. when did u get it?"
 then yea... she told A LOT of relatives. she still does today  i got it when i was 11 and i'm like 14 now and she still tells ppl. wat a he**'s wrong wit my mom LOL and my grandma was the first one to kno... 'cause she saw erm blood stuff in the garbage while she was pee-ing LOL

I actually didn't tell my mom till a couple months after.
Its odd how that happened. I didn't need her help b/c I mean its not hard to figure out how to use a stupid pad. I guess I was like, "okay, this is like, my period" and I was gonna tell her but then I kinda didn't. So then she saw them all in the trash and she was like "Melissa, have you had your period?" and I'm like "Oh yeh, I was gonna tell ya"I hope she didn't tell anyone. Not like they couldn't figure it out now. I'm always complaining about my PMS. |

Weeeell..I live with my grandparents, so:
Me: Um..I think I just got my period Grandma: Really? *Gasps* Congratualations!! *Squashes me in a hug* Me: Uhh... Grandma: C'mon, we need to go get you some pads! & Then once I told my mom over the phone: Mom: Oh, congratulations! My little girl's becoming a woman now! It's kinda gross, huh? Me: Uh...thanks? Yeah..it is.. Both were sooo embarassing the way they said the stuf....

As far as I know, my grandmother didn't tell anybody. I haven't overheard her saying anything...But knowing her, my whole family probably knows.

actually....I think mums should come and visit this page....They NEED to know what we think about this........
Also....I don't think mums should tell a man this......(even your dad).....It's none of their business.....Dads don't have a period, do they?

she was just like OMG really?? and shes like r u sure?? maybe its a false alarm!? and i was thinking..."arent u supposed to be happy or something"? lol w/e i dotn really care.. when my friend told her mom that she got her period she started sayiing to everyone..."im gonna have grandchildren" lol

im not sure; when i got it; friends were over at my house; even GUYS and they were like "whats that red thing on your pants?" and iwas like what red thing and started to panic and all. and the thing was my mom wasnt with my when i had it; she was all the way in china. So i had to go through it all by myself.
