just curious...i might. i have my learners' permit right now and i can get my N (if you're from BC, Canada you'll understand...its a license with a lot of restrictions but you can drive by yourself) by august and i might be able to get a car. my parents said either i'll pay for the car and they'll pay for insurance & gas or vice versa. yup yup.
anyone else going to get one right away, or got one right away? |

got my car a week before i got my learners permit. I think buying your car and having your folks pay the insurance sounds GOOD.
I bought everything and my insurance costs me over 3 grand a year with collision. Thats mainly cause i am 16, have a V8 motor and a ton of engine mods that are covered. oh well, i love it |

I don't know ...I might buy an used car since there's nothing I want.. what I want I can't import it.. because it'll be illegal :(. So if that's way might buy an used car that looks like what I want instead.. or the parents will just buy me something.... lol

I got my car two weeks after I got my license. It was a birthday present.
And word of advice, don't get a new car for your first car. It's bad luck. Trust me. |

i don't even have my permit yet! xP
but i will most def not get one right away. my parents won't buy me one so i will have to save up for my first car. and i will also have to get some experience on other cars. (just so i don't total my car!  )

i had a car a year before i got my license or so. It's crappy but when your gone for 2 1/2 months...you miss that piece soooo much!!!!

i didn't get a car when i first got my license, but a car was always there if you know what i mean.. parental units didn't really let me for a first couple months and they only let me drive when i got a job because unlike some of you, i have to pay for my own car insurance/gas. yeah its better they start you out with a old used car first.. just for practice unless you are very experienced. |

I got my car the day I turned 16, I woke up and went outside and my mom had a new car. I got her old car, its awsum - 2003 Tahoe. It had a big bow on it, I laughed, and then looked at my moms new car and wanted it.

haha. So true with my sister. --- Yeah, pay for the car. My sister is always stress about gas. She even complain. It cost her about 50$ or more at 76 gas station (cheapest gas price) |

haha yeah im gettin my license that morning then goin to get my car (hopefully a Jeep Commander or H3) and either im payin for the car and my dad's payin for anything i want in/on it or vice versa if i get the commander ill pay for the stuff cuz i wont put much on a jeep just some rims and tinting and a system but if i get the Hummer ill pay for it and let him pay for the upgrades cuz im gonna pack that thing you know TVs PS3 XBOX 360 DVD players MP4 players subs amps rims tint neon new suspension and maybe a body kit if one becomes available for it

well i still got a couple yrs till i even get my license but i wouldn't mind getting a car. if i dont, thats okay, once i get my drivers license, its all up hill from there haha
