What in the f**k?

You make it sound like you have no idea who Paul McCartney is. Get your adolescent ass out of here. Do you have any f*cking idea what he has contributed to music?

And I take it you find the likes of Justin Timberlake and 50 cent to be what truly good music is? If so, go and put a stick up your ass, since you enjoy throwing around derogatory terms like "fag".

Im with you there. What the f**k? Paul McCartney is one of the greatest contributers to music the world has ever seen. He, along with the Beatles, completely revolutionized music all around the world. So really, you can just do yourself a favor and shut up. You obviously have no idea what you're bitching about.

But this year was a nice change. The music was great. But i can understand how you would hate it, if you weren't a paul mcCarntey fan. but i thought it rocked happy.gif

wow. what an ignorant thing to say. how could you not care to know about someone who has been such a big part of music history? how could you not care to know about a legend? holy crap. even if the beatles aren't your taste in music, you should still appreciate them and still be able to respect their music. do you honestly think when 50 Cent stops to rap and make music or when he dies, that he will become a legend or even be remembered that much? it's highly doubtful. yet here we have someone like paul mccartney who, when he does die will be remembered and who is right now a legend. sheesh people. and just to let you know, the majority of the people who watch the superbowl are what? ADULTS. and the majority of mtv watchers? TEENAGERS. Therefore, the target market for the superbowl is the adults which is why they choose performers such as Paul McCartney to do their half time show instead. Which is also why a lot of the commercials are also for adults.

I might've implied that it was Janet Jackson because of the situtation, but I never said it was her. Nor did I call her a whore. You're the one who took my post out of proportion. But since this isn't a debate, I'll just leave it at that. Simmer down, gosh.

You don't care about someone who isn't a part of your history? Excuse me, but Paul McCartney and the Beatles revolutionized music altogether. Without him or the Beatles, you wouldn't HAVE music today. Not a part of your "history" my ass.

I, myself, am not huge fan of the Beatles or Paul McCartney, and I certainly don't listen to him often. It's completely atrocious, however, to not appreciate his music or his presence, because you are completely ignorant of the fact that he has helped in the revolution of music. Sure, his music isn't modern and whatnot, but it's sure better than all that MTV shit.

And frankly, no one gives a damn about your "mama".

Actually, Janet Jackson is not some little pop singer whose music is targeted towards those "Teeny-Boppers" In fact, she is an adult performer. So get it straight. And it wasn't all "dried up and ish." In fact, many people liked it. The younger teeny bopper crowds are those that didn't particularly like it only because they are oblivious to the fact of who Paul McCartney is and all they care about is their music whether it be from Simple Plan, 50 Cent, to Britney Spears (who are all targeted towards the younger crowd.)

Is music a part of your history? Don't you dare say no, because then you have no right to post in this topic if you have nothing to do with music. You have no right to critcize other musicians and artists if you have no association with music, if music isn't a part of who you are.

I said MTV as an example. Not everything I say is necessarily derived from you, sadly.

how the hell are they not a part of you history? its a part of history- it happened, in the past, and made an impact on todays society. you cant just erase the parts of history you dont like and claim they dont apply to you. "oh, i dont feel sorry for holocaust victims because im not jewish"

RIP John Lennon..

The Beatles did make history. They were the first band to perform live in the first world-wide broadcast via (then) state-of-the-art satellite technology.

And I think Fox wanted to take it safe, no one likes a multi-million dollar fine in their bill. The half-life show was aimed for the nostalgic viewers, haha, cuz cmon face it, you're a teenager in 2005, who REALLY cares about your opinion and taste in music? MTV? =P They aren't gonna be hosting a halftime show for a while!

Maybe they'll get Wierd Al Yankovich to do the show next year. rofl.

yes, I must admit it. The halftime show was pretty boring. Our family changed the channel, but seriously, you don't have to say those things about paul mccartney because he is a very talented singer, and it was just boring to me because it didn't really appeal to me. But I know a lot of people enjoyed it.

^^ not necessarily true. just about my whole school watched the super bowl so it isn't really targeted at adults. and yes, i know that paul mccartney is a legend and everything, but that doesn't mean that EVERYBODY has to love him. i personally don't, and i know a lot of people who don't either. listening to mainstream music doesn't affect my opionion either- i don't expect any of today's popular artists to ever receive a lifetime achievement award. i didn't like the half time show, so shoot me! gosh, some people take stuff SO seriously. it is NOT that big of a deal. it's not as if u personally knew the guy... geez blink.gif
