I understand that the label is there because the image is property of gettyimages. But I have seen people use those images too and the somehow removed the label without messing up the pic. How do you do that? I want to make a signature and the pic i want is only on gettyimages........... cry.gif

when you search for the pic ... click the pic that you want once and the first view that they show you of it will not have "gettyimages " on it ..

or just crop that part of the image out

but you should always give them credit biggrin.gif

if you registered and you are logged in .. then like you find the picture you want .. click on it and then click on it again until they take you to its actual size then it will come up without the "gettyimages" on it .. it worked for me

you shouldn't have to register, just search for the image and click on it once. then you can copy it and paste it into whatever program you want to use.

ok when you go to gettyimages i click creative then on the right side i type the name i wanna search for ..then look through pic thumbnails for the one you want .. then click it .. (YOU CAN COPY IT THEN IT WILL HAVE NO GETTY IMAGES ON IT) or you can click it again .. and if you registered it will show again (sometimes a bit bigger) and w/ out getty images as long as your logged in biggrin.gif

could you just clarify something for me? You register, and you filled out that oart with your address and where you get billed...

are you saying, that for them to send you a bill, you actually have to BUY a picture? So instead, you could just register, not buy any pictures, but instead copy and paste?

correct.

i dont' think you should remove a watermark... it's a copyrighted image and if they really had the time, the artist could sue you for stealing. seriously, i got this talk from my art teacher. it's not considered your own unless you get rid of/ alter 90% of the original image.

if you found a picture before that you liked, just do the search again and find the picture. it's the same, but without a watermark. the watermarked image and the non are TWO different images. it's not some crazy browser trick. they are TWO different images. when you weren't logged in you go the watermark. login, do a search and find your image. there you will see a non-watermarked image.
