Exercise in the morning to speed up your metabolism for the day. Eat three full meals a day. Don't eat at night. Drink lots of water.

Umm my standard work out for a day:
Arm weights (15 of each)
dumbell press
bicep curls
dumbell flys
and like 4 more don't know names or how to describe

Leg weights (15 of each)
lunges
squats

Abs (50 of each)
crunches
oblique twists

Yea I think that's about it, you can try some of those and running is always good. Eating well is good too, looks like your on a good track. But I gained weight since I started working out, so muscle weights more than fat, it's not all about a number, it's how satisfied about the way you look in the mirror, it's ok too be a little muscular!

You can't keep running from what you're trying to find.

is it just the thigh area you're worried about? well there are these things where you lift one leg up and down a few times each... you sit down, tuck one leg in and put the other one out, and move it up and down slowly for about 10 times maybe? and then repeat with the other leg. i think those would work. happy.gif

Just running won't help you out with your thighs. You should be using some weight machines, as well that are geared specifically toward the thigh area. At my school, we have a weight room and the gym teachers teach us how to use the machines. It's open everyday before and after school but if you don't have something like this at your school, go to the YMCA or something. Make sure that somebody teaches you how to use them, though because you could hurt yourself otherwise. And don't use weights every single day...it's not good for you. Also, try using stationary bikes. I used to compete in triathlons and my thighs thinned out, especially after using the bike.

Ok well. since your not fat, but want to get in shape, talk to your P.E. Teacher. Odd as it may seem tongue.gif Thats what I done. She basicaly told me to do 25 jumping jacks, stretch my muscles and things run/walk 5 laps and see how many sit-ups I can do in a minute, and the same with pushups. Of course at the begenningof the school yaer, I could only do 12 situps and 3 pushups, and not I can do 36 situps and 17 push ups cool.gif in a minute. It didn't make me as thin as a twig, I still have my body, but it's just..."evened out" And I'm in much better shape than I was at the begenning of the year. I could go over the stretches with you...more detailed, later if you want me to

just keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat! i think that your running is doing good. i run about 3 miles a day just to keep in shape between all the sports. running for a longer period of time helps. if you also stretch & lift weights that would help. if you want to know some good exercises you can do, just PM me. i'll be glad to help you! _smile.gif

yeah, swimming will slim your thighs like woah! :D
also, try doing that thing where you lay on one side (like the right side) of your stomach and lift your legs up and down. it'll make your butt perky and thighs skinnier. =)

Play DDR, crunches help with your abs... also reverse crunches. But yea you can't really build/tone your muscles without cardio.
