whenever people knock on the door, i don't get it unless its my parents (and i know this because they shout my name out in chinese). especially when i am alone, i don't care who it is, i just won't open the door because i am scared (even if it's someone i know). especially when its strangers, i get petrified and i wouldn't dare to move. and plus, we don't have those little magnifying glass on our door.

what are you like and do when people knock on your door?

at my house i'm like the official door opener. so whenever someone rings the doorbell i have to figure out if its coming from the front or back, and answer it. my parents get so mad if i dont- even when i'm sick or sumthing grr thats annoying

It irks me when I have to get my lazy arse off the computer chair to walk a total of three feet, but still. I'm usually always in bummish clothes and my glasses...and if it's one of those door to door people trying to sell something, I pretend I don't speak English and start speaking French. They just walk away...pretty funny indeed.

Hmm... I'm glad that I have the magnify glass. My cousin aka my brother, --- he calls us if he can come. So I know that it will be him if he doesn't even say his name heh... Well i never get the door. Partially because im lazy, and partially because i know the person at the door is never here to see me. Either my parents would get it, or if they're not home, no one will. Last time someone came to my door was about a week ago, when Jehovas Whitnesses wouldn't leave me alone. They stood outside ringing the doorbell for 20 minutes.

But sometimes, when family comes over unexpendedly and my parents aren't home, i get creeped out. I get really quiet so they don't hear me. I don't have a peephole, so i don't bother looking through the window. They might see me and get mad. Eventually they would assume no one is home. And then i would calm down. Lol im a weirdo .

when i hear the doorbell i go to my brother's room cuz from his window you can see the front door and who's knocking and if it's ppl i don't know and i'm alone i don't open it but if my parents are home then i let them open the door.

that's exactly what i do too, people tend to knock on my doors during my lunch break (since i eat lunch at home), and i always watch tv as i eat, then in the middle of it someone knocks the door, and i frantically grab the remote and press mute, and then i just sit there frozen and not make any sound until they go away.

I would shut off all the t.v.'s and close all the blinds, then I would try and peek out a window or something.

yeah i never open the door either, i don't like having people over because my parents will make fun of them after they leave those jehovah's witnesses are weird...it's like they wait there to make sure you're not home until they annoy someone else when a friend of my parents or relatives come over (rarely) i go to my room too...but it's because i'm really shy

i think you should probably talk to your parents about installing that peephole and one of those chains on your door...maybe that will help you get over it

because my parents' friend who lives few blocks away always come and knock on our door and they yell "ARE YOU THERE???" And they usually do it when i have my lunch break, and my lunch break isn't that long and i want to save some time, because if i open the door they'll talk for about 10 minutes and THEN go.
plus, sometimes i just don't bother because what if i say something wrong? My parents'll come back home and yell at me.

Well, thats the one up side to living in hickville Ohio. LOL! no one ever comes to the door, and we have a window in our door, so, I can just look out it and see if anyone is outside. But when I'm at my aunts, I freak out because I never know whos at the door.

I have 2 front doors. a wooden door, and a metal door. You know, the door that Chinese people always have. Yeah, so I take a look. I know the person can't do much to hurt me. I don't take crap from people who want to crap on my front steps. So I ask them what's going on and get rid of them. Usually they want to pick fruit from the tree on my front lawn. "Hey, eat your heart out."

What I'm like? I'm the kind of person who doesn't care. Take things head on. Pull off some Jackie Chan along the way. :-)
