my friends invited me to one of their church retreats, the thing is im not totally christian
 and i dont know what to do, i saw the "what to bring" list and i have to bring a bible. i know this might sound stupid to people that are christian, but i dont even have a bible.so are they all going to laugh at me if i dont have a bible? or will they get mad or something..should i go out and get one? yes im really nervous/paranoid, im afraid im going to make a fool of myself. |

don't worry about it. a lot of non christian's go to my church retreats, revivals, and such and we don't pick on them or embarrass them because they don't bring a bible. heck, i'm christian, and i don't hardly ever bring a bible with me. but don't stress out too much
 you don't need to go out and get one, just share with your friend when you need you use it and they won't get mad because i guarantee someone else there who is a christian will be like me and not have brought their bible either.

Eh,
I was talking about this with my friend. She was all " Oh, you're not baptized? " cause I'm atheist. But you could always tell your friends that you're not christian. I don't have a bible. |

you don't always need to bring a bible, you can always share with someone else like i did last time hahaha. i was sooooooooooo lazy to bring one... even though i bring it, i probably be not take my responsiblity on my bible.. i'll probably lose it and never find it... i dont know im weird. i mean i'm christian. why dont i take care of my stuff like my bible O___O;;;;;;;; wheres my jesus freak pride?
 dun dun dun......*thunder clashes* sigh........................... but anyways im going to a church retreat too. it's our dive winter break 2005 retreat! yayayayayayayay... i dont know if i'll bring my bible, but i'll TRY!!! wait actually i did bring my bible last year... i didnt bring one 2 years ago lol.

awz~ nooo u dun needa bring a bible. guudness~ hopefulli they wont laugh their butts off just because you couldnt bring one!! esp if they're xtian! i'm christian miself but... i've neva had a scenario where ppl made fun of someone because they didnt have a BIBLE... -_-
 if they laugh i think i'll go ova der and kick their butts LOL but ya really~ i think a buncha ppl will forget anyway so u wont be alone ^.~

I went to one, when I was doing my confirmation. Oh man, it was so much fun. I really loved it  As for you, just say your forgot the bible

Ask a friend to borrow a bible. It's normal to feel unsure of how church retreats will go if you've never been on one before. I lead a church retreat for confirmation canidates so I could get community service. A lot of the people go on the retreat thinking that they will hate it but it turns out a lot better than they expected it to be. Just go on it with an open mind.

don't worry about it. if you're not christian, of course they don't expect you guys to have bibles!
just share with your friend when they refer to it, or just listen closely =] and don't be nervous; church retreats are really fun. just be yourself and try to get to know others =)

go out and buy a bible. i don't think they cost that much...
 and if you don't have a bible and show up there without a bible, they will probably look like you are crazy! so get a bible!
