well now, i feel like i can tell you more than i can tell my friends because you're complete strangers, so here i go.
 I have this friend. She was my best friend for a long time. And then we started liking each other. We both told each other how we felt. And everything was great. I asked her if she would be my girlfriend, and she declined. She told me that although she loved me, she didn't want a boyfriend. So i was understanding and didn't spread it (i have no idea why). This was about a week ago. Ok now this is where it gets strange. Yesterday she started going out with someone. Yea. Exactly the way it sounds. You're probably wondering, "Wait, how did it get from her liking you to her dating someone else? Did you skip part of the story?" No. No i didn't. That is sequential, without missing any events. She forgot i was there. She stopped loving me, and started loving someone else. And she didn't tell me. I only found out she didn't like me anymore and liked someone else because i read it on her xanga. She kept me dragging along. She forgot about me. And now she's wondering why im upset. Background information: From this story she would seem like a slut. But in reality, she isn't, which makes it even stranger. She is more on the shy side. Now this is my problem. Im not a man of grudges. But in this case, i think i should change my principles a bit. What do you think? This story makes me sick

That is really strange... Maybe:
a. she didn't really feel the same but didn't want to hurt you b. she mistook her strong feelings of "friendship love" for romantic feelings c. she just had a change of feelings... it happens |

i agree with the above.. maybe she just didnt feel the same way you doo.. and didnt want to hurt your feelings.. and by love she meant love foo a friend...

that doesn't mean she's a slut if she liked you but then changed her mind and liked someone else, if she was a slut she probably would've slept with you then slept with someone else the following week
but anyway...maybe she just wanted to know that someone out there loved her...or maybe she started really thinking if she really didn't want a boyfriend right now and wants to try it out first before she makes a true commitment to you...or, she just played you

You people don't understand what im saying. We were best friends. And i would understand if she didn't like me anymore and didn't want to tell me. But she started going out with someone else. And she was completely public about it. If she had a change of heart i can live with that. I don't love her anymore. But the fact that my best friend acted like she cared and then dropped this bombshell is what drives me crazy.
And godamn, she knows that if she doesn't like me anymore she should just tell me. She knows that already. How about that? |

dude dats harsh.. =/ i dink... if she was shy she wouldnt wanna hurt u... *nodnod* sometimes it's easier ta act innocent. i doubt she forgot you. but revisiting her feelings for you might've caused her some unwanted pain... about how she'd hurt you.. or else she didn't realize u loved her anymore and thought u moved on...

hmm since you guys are jst the best of friends then why dont you tell her how you feel and ask her why she did it? cause after all.. best friends are supposed to tell each other everything if you catch my drift

Bleh, I suck at remembering details after I read them. .. she was using an excuse to not get with you. Perhaps she didn't want to ruin the friendship, which inevitably happened anyways. |

she might be going out with someone she likes & said that she liked you because she didn't want to hurt your feelings. i think you should move on & find someone new. tell her that nothings' wrong & whatnot.

That sucks, esp when she doesn't want a boyfriend and the next day, she's going out with someone else. Just get over her. She did it so quickly. Do yourself a favor and get over it.

this is probably the reason...
she didnt want to reject you just like that becuz she wanted to have someone to come back to when that 'guy' didnt ask her out or w/e. She was probably using you as backup..now that he likes her too....no worries and she can drop you. I'm sorry but she probably said it becuz she wanted to shall I say put you on hold? |

1) maybe she has short term memory 2) ask her about it. 3) it's not really possible to love someone else in a few days. she declined cos she possibly doesnt really love u, maybe she's lying. 4) she doesnt sound like a slut or whatever, she sounds like a player. |
