OH. There's this song in the musical 'Rent' called 'Seasons of Love'. I really like it, and the lyrics really work. One of them is like, "How do you measure a year in the life of friends?" It's a pretty song. (:

rolleyes.gif Yeah...I wuz gonna say the classic "Graduation" Vitamin C song, but here's another good one..."Here's To The Night" by Eve 6. Here's the Lyrics...

So denied so I lied/Are you the now or never kind?/In a day and a day love/I'm going to be gone for good again/Are you willing to be had? Are you cool with just tonight?|Here's a toast to all those who hear me all to well/Here's to the night we felt alive/Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry/Here's to goodbye tomorrow's going to come to soon|Put your name on the line/Along with place and time/Want to stay, not to go, I want to ditch the logical|Here's a toast to all those who hear me all to well/Here's to the night we felt alive/Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry/Here's to goodbye tomorrow's going to come to soon/All my time is froze in motion/Can't I stay an hour or two or more/Don't let me let you go/Don't let me let you go|Here's a toast to all those who hear me all to well/Here's to the night we felt alive/Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry/Here's to goodbye, tomorrow's going to come to soon/To soon|Here's to the night we felt alive/Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry/Here's to goodbye tomorrow's going to come to soon...

Hope I've been of help _smile.gif .

Oliver James - Greatest Story Ever Told

Hahaha! Oliver James! I love him. Greatest Story ever told is a good song. Good Riddance and The Vitamin C song's been done at countless graduations for over 6-7 years. How bout the REAL classic-- Pomp and Circumstance? hahaha. Yellowcard- Miles Apart is very high school graduation-esque. Not very fond of the song itself, but the lyrics are nice.

not all Graduation songs have to be Mainstream music _dry.gif

i believe that Graduation Songs would have to have great more significance and origina then usual songs ..

yeah i need one too. we have a sorta list but it's horrible. no one wants vitamin c cuz we think it's more high school. and they did green day "good riddance" last year. a few of our choices are:

We go together-from Grease
Here's to the night-Eve 6
Ready to fly-not sure
Our lives- the calling
Dream on- aerosmith

i thought maybe the song "Don't you (forget about me)" by Simple Minds but i have a very close minded school and everyone probably wants "dream on" which has nothing to do with graduation. if anyone has any more suggestions for my please let me know. thank you so much

Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)

we had Boyz II Men - So Hard To Say Goodbye for our grad but that was a bad choice because it was written for mourning over a death of someone important.
