How do you tell someone that you've moved on already without completely tearing them up?

I just got out of a relationship because I think it's for the best. After watching the movie "The Little Black Book" I came to realize that I've known all along. He's not the one for me. I can't give him an answer of why the sudden change going from "I love you " to "I want to move on." It's just a gut feeling that I have inside me. He needs closure with an answer. I don't have an answer. I just acted on instinct...

He's probably wondering if he did something wrong, so u should tell him how u feel asap. Finding an answer's hard, but I imagine waiting for one is just as bad. Just tell him that u had a great time w/him, but it's not the right connection ur looking for.

It's good that u ended a relationship u didn't want to be in any longer...I know some girls that are just w/their current bf just because they think they need one.

Best of luck! hug.gif That right guy's surely bound to come ur way!

You can't keep running from what you're trying to find.

well break it gently... like... umm... well i'm not sure, but you have to let him know that you still love him as a friend _smile.gif

I think this belongs in the relationship forum. anyways. tell him how you are feeling. just say, "it's not working out, i want to be friends."

you should talk it out with him. saying that he hasnt change and saying that you have the change of heart and just want to be friends with him because you think its better that way..
