I've lost myself in you.
Every word you say, make me more attached
Only to be thrown away, just like trash.

Now you are leaving me for a sunset over an ocean.
Why am I doing this? I will only start some commotion.

I listen to the songs you sent me
The ones that made me smile.
Now as I listen to them
I cry for the longest while.
I think of things that you said would happen
But now they are just a mere sentence.

My heart braces to shatter,
As only months, count down until you leave me for the sandy surf.
But do my feelings really matter?

I can't try and get you to stay
The palm trees swaying in the breeze call your name
While I watch, you walk away.
I have to stay in my silence, for I know you would never listen and stay.
I guess I just don't compare to that salty wave.

(that's a BIG complement from me cuz usually people aren't good enuff 2 compare 2 Jim, who is THE GREATEST POET & SONGWRITTER 2 HAVE EVER LIVED!!!!). I luv it ... I write songs/poems too!
