Naptime...In School??? Options

What do you all thing bout grade 9-12....High schooler's getting the right to have a nap break or something in school....i mean we are older and we need the sleep to refresh your brain....even if it was like a 30 min break....a 15 min nap is very refreshin actually.....Leonardo De Vinchi slept for 1 hour ever 3 hours or so....he got so much done in his life with all that spare time....What do you think Bout it????

there's actually an article i read somewhere .. a high school acted upon that issue about teenagers not getting enough sleep .. so there'd actually be a time and classroom where they could take *POWER NAPS* .. and it would leave them all fresh and awake for their next class hehe .. sounds like an idea .. i'd be in full support .. it's still up to us though to learn to manage our time better to get more sleep when we're supposed to .. but yea .. most people never have that happen haha .. right now i should be studying .. but what am i doing? .. i'm up blogging, chatting, the whole nine yards hahaha

Oh yeah. Even if they did give us a certain amount for nap time during the school hours, it's very likely that many of us won't sleep and just "chill", thus it is a waste of time for us, and the teachers.

Psh! There's nothing wrong with napping in school. I did it all the time when I was in high school. It was worse for my friend, she took AP Art History, which consisted of watching a lot of slides in a warm and dark room.

Well for those that think its a preschool thing...many high schools are starting to give students the ability to use the nurse of to sleep or are settin up separate rooms for students to sleep...my school just added a room to the nurses office for sleepy student....althought its only for half an hour....Students in my school do not get eough sleep due to the amount of home work given it is a problem in my school....4-5 hours worth daily....and its even worst for those of us in sports..cuz practice starts at 3:15 and goes till 5-5:30....so do the math some student need the sleep not the work....

i think, hs is the wrong time of day. From like 7:30 in the morning till like 2:30?~?!?!?~?! Common, too early. maybe do 8 to 3 or something. Besides, if u learn pshcology and learn how the brain works, younger adults have "clocks" in their heads and they workbetter late and are more "night" people. When u get older, it's the opposite. That's why when u wake up to go gorcery shopping early in the morning, u see nothing but the elderly people. They sleep mad early, but get up early as hell~

actually it should be 9-3 or in my case last week 11-2. During those days last week i actually paid attention in class rather then sleeping. It was nice to be able to wake up around 9 and still be able to make it to school on time.

yes we should think about it, it is our fault we sleep late but look classes get out at 3, many people with sports get out at 4-5 then with homework that lasts up to 6-87, and then you have to see the prime times shows atleast up to 9. then you wake up at 6 cause school starts at 7-8 so with nap times we would be less pissy and be more healthy and happy.

I go to sleep at 9:00pm and wake up at 5:00am. That gives me 8 hours of sleep, which health magazines recommend. Yeah, I have study hall too, and I sleep the whole period. The teacher doesn't care, he just types e-mails and talks on the phone.
