We have a holiday celebrating the independence of America. We have a month dedicated to black people and a holiday celebrating a black-rights activist... Do we have any holidays celebrating women's independence or women's rights? Not to my knowledge...

Do you think there should be a holiday celebrating women's liberation? Do you think it's ridiculous and women don't really need a holiday? Do you think women should stop complaining? Do you think that a different group of people would be more deserving of a holiday?

Yes. Without women, first of all, there wouldn't be human. ;]
But then above of all that, women have done a lot to improve our nations and countries even if men once was everything.

I think if there's going to be a 'womens' day@ there should be a mens' day as well.

women cant campaign for equal rights and then deny equal rights to a holiday to men. thats hypocritical

Agreed. But if this is like black and whites, black people get all this grand stuff, while white people are stuck with nothing.

So women should stop complaining about how we are so underprivelaged, because it is the same way in racial issues. Anything we say will be shoved into our faces as a sexist comment.

what all of you are forgetting is that white men have been the dominant group all throughout history. what is history for? to remember what misteaks you made so you don't make them again. denying rights to minorities was a misteak W.A.S.P.s have made, and we need a reminder, such as a holiday, to remind us that what we've done in the past is wrong so we can do what's right in the future.
