i enjoy making layouts etc but i always wonder how or where people get those pretty swirly designs haha and how they make their fonts glow.

The shapes are a a combination of swirlies and brushes. You can make banners like this in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. You can also make banners in Paint, but they won't come out as nice. Except if you're Frankie_08 (such a Paint master). You might want to check out the tutorials in theBig Book of Resources for more techniques.

i think the font clow is probly a certain stroke in photoshop
good tutorials has tutorials but also check the cb tutorial section because they have some AWESOME tutorials there especially for paint |

actually if you have photohsop, you can go to the blending options, and add an outerglow or a drop shadow with zero distance.

the swirls are brushes but if you dont have photoshop or paintshoppro learn how to make swirlies with ms paint and the glow is a drop shadow once again if you dont have ps or psp you can do that at flamingtext.com
