Fast? is that where you don't eat food? I thought that was for Islamics?

Do you mean lent? Where you give up a food?
I don't know....

But I'm not Christian.. so I wouldn't know.

"Fast Water"---i've never herd of that holiday....
but i've fasted before... the true fasting, where u really mean it. And it doesn’t mean that u can’t eat, fasting really means giving up something that u usually do during the day (like tv /computer) and spend time with God (like read the bible and praying).....

i don't do it for that holiday [never even heard of it..maybe it's a catholic holiday or something..hmm..] but i do it every year with my youth group for 30 hours..we make it a sleepover/activity etc so we forget about our stomachs =D and we get to drink juice every so often. it's fun. we have shaving cream fights!

o.O I dont really see how it should be in food considering that the defination for the food forum is share your recipes and favorite foods and how this is not really about food but about the spirtuality of christianity o.O

haha, i shall move it back mr. silly. I put it in the lounge on purpose. I was thinking about it at first but I didnt think it should be in food :P.

It's not like you just flat out start with three days. It's a gradual process, first you try fasting one mean, two meals, etc.

My supervisor is fasting for the same reason.

Anyway, my Muslim friend fasted about... a month or two ago and I did it a couple of days with her but I could not keep it up.

Must have food and water ON TIME.

EXACTLY! Omg, i felt so sorry for my friends today. They were ALL fasting. Like I was eating food, and they were glaring at the food like a vicious hyena ready to tear you in in bits. It was so scary o.o.

You know, my friend has tricks that help her not be hungry so much...

For example, she eats wheat or whole wheat bread instead of white bread. People told her that while white bread goes right through your system, wheat stays a little longer so you'll be full a little longer.

I'm not sure if that's true, but she says it works well for her.

As for your friends eyeing you. That's why I keep away from my supervisor when I have lunch at work...

Christian people don't do the fasting part. Well if they want to do it, then they can, but really it's not a traditional for Christian people to do <_<;;;;

I don't know where you heard that from, but you heard it wrong. I think the Islam people does that........

Anyways I never did a fasting thingy... mellow.gif
