Well theres sort of different ways of peer pressure.
Theres of course the ways of pressuring someone into drugs or sex. But then..theres a way of pressuring people into being a christian, abtinence, not to take drugs, not to smoke. I think talking about someone to not do things and pressuring them not to smoke or have sex or steal, may be sort of wrong. Its good to get your point accross but then like its still their decision..=/ |

It's where you give into something just because your peers have it/ do it.
Yeah, it's bad. In my opinion, at least. You can't give into peer pressure ::looks at Chuck Taylor's shoes.:: |

yeah i think its bad. you shouldn't be pressured into doing anything you don't want to do. thats what i believe anyways.

It can only be bad, because you're doing something because everyone else is. you should never be pushed into doing something that you aren't willing to do.

It's usually something that involves danger and doing something stupid. |

Regardless of what the subject you might be in trying to pressure someone into, it's wrong that you're not respecting their own opinion. Yes, I believe peer pressure is bad.

yes, peer pressure can be harmful, especially to teenagers, since they're in the middle of moral development. they're at the stage where they do things to please others, rather than listening to their own consciences. but i think that programs such as DARE are trying to turn peer pressure into a positive thing.. it's teaching kids to pressure their peers into doing the "right" thing.

Depends on when it used and how it used.
If you mean during a time when some others kids try to get you to take drugs or drink or do something you know it wrong, peer pressure is very bad and you shouldn't give in. However, I used peer pressure when I play cards or playing a game. It more useful for me since I can win easily. |
