Woah $140?? It wouldn't work for my hair as tiny as it is...I'd be there for 2 hours! I just really don't trust those TV advertisements.....but for almost $140...it better be good!

any type of ceramic straightner is fine. as long it's not metal, that ruins hair.

my mom bought an expensive ceramic straightener like that one, and a $20 ceramic conair one for me at the same time. hers worked great, until it broke a few months later. mine doesn't work as well as hers did, but it still works today (go figure!) hope that's some help

I have seen the commercial for the True Ceramic Pro many times. And being me, I am convinced. And just to add something on to the other peoples replys when you all said "Any ceramic straightener would probably work just fine" or something like that, you see all the straighteners say they are really ceramic but are not because I'm pretty sure ceramic is supposed to turn a different color when heated. I've looked at some of my friend's expencive ones that say ceramic but don't change color and they also work just fine. And you cannot get a good straightener for $20, mine is a piece of junk and it's metal so it wrecks my hair. Let me know how the True Ceramic Pro works so I know if I should get the trial or not.

Was somebody talking about the conair glass straightener or whatever? Cause I was looking at that on the internet and it is way cheaper than the true ceramic pro. If that glass one is by all means better than the true ceramic pro let me know so I know which one to buy, I really need a new one but have no clue which to buy.

I tried the Chi first and my hair dresser really recommened it. I then saw the trueceramic pro ad and bought that. BAd bad bad idea. The iron sucks!!! it breaks your hair and the clamp is not strong enough.
I have very thick hair and the Chi turbo is fantastic!! no breakage no issues. ALso do not fall for 30 day money back guarantee. Its been over 60 days for me and I still havent gotten the money back!!! Not worth it. Just get CHi. |

yeah I'm totally loyal to chi. everyone is jumping on the bandwagon trying to copy their technology and failing. I would stay away. Because if not done right, using a crappy iron and really damage your hair.

GHD is apparantly the best out there now but this seems pretty professional too. i think it all depends on what kind of hair texture u have.

the SEDU. www.folica.com has all the brand name ones, they're expensive though. oh and of course the chi, which i'm sure you've heard of, but it makes your hair look forced, the sedu straightens it so it looks relaxed and natural.

I have had the TCP for several months now and just love it! It works fast and I can go out into the rain and have my hair remain the way I want it to! No frizz! Only two things take out the straightening, sweat and shampoo. I have used the cheap products ($20 or $30) before and they took forever and the style fell out in the first sign of humidity. I have the Revlon one as well as a couple other cheapies and in comparison they are crap! At least for my hair type. If you can use a cheapie iron, congratulations to you for having managable hair!
I have had some trouble with the iron itself, but customer service is wonderful and have replaced it for me NO HASSLE! The Phone number is on the bottom of your order form. I suggest if you do order this product that you do keep the paper work in your files so you can refer to the order numbers and the phone numbers if you run into trouble. I have very curly hair and now with TCP I have straight hair that lasts for days! https://www.asseenontvnetwork.com/vcc/advan...c/index/127158/ |

I just got this, used it ONCE, and the red paint on the "ceramic" plates came right off! This is not ceramic, it's metal, which is very damaging to the hair. Yes, it straightened my hair, but not as sleek as my cheap flat iron. I called customer service, was on put hold for over 20 minutes, just to be told, ok, send it back. The person I spoke with was well aware of the product being junky. I would rather use my $25 Revelon flat iron, it takes longer, but better results and it's not metal. I got the name Dave Barker as the person to write a letter of complaint to. For the price, you are better off going to a salon. Not to mention the hassle of returning it, they don't even include a return label. Highly NOT recommended!
