Yeah my sister works at the movies and she just called to ask me if I wanted to see the movie before it comes out. Only for the staff members.
It starts at 12 and ends at like 2 and I didn't really feel like going. Besides, the movie looks weird. I'll stick with the original

the oompa loompas were a sorry excsuse for an oompa loompa. my friend jose was FURiOUS. like.. crazy furious. he was cussing and screaming like a little kid. he didnt even want to watch the movie anymore cos they resembled no oompa loompa at all. he wanted the orange skin and green hair and such

Wow, I saw it on opening day. It was... GREAT. Tim Burton has amazing background and visual affects, which really set the mood of the book. Johnny Depp, although he resembled Michael Jackson, played his role very well, at times ambiguously dark. I loved the shifty element that went on throughout the movie. Very, very, very, good. However, if you're a fan of the books, the ending might be a bit questionable.
Great just the same, though. |

well, according to my boy Roger Ebert, he says this movie is fantastic DESPITE Johnny Depp, not because of it.
Apparently he's too much of a freakin weirdo in this movie, wearing makeup, looking like Michael Jackson, and inviting little kids into his factory. I agree, Depp could have picked a much better "look" to play Willy Wonka. |
