I'm just curious..
Are you girls desperate to fit in? To be "accepted" at school? -- Just wondering. I'm not. I could care less about those people. I hate over half of my school, and those that I don't hate are already my friends. The only people I want to be "accepted" by are the guys that I like, but that's only temporary. :] |

definitely not. i hate the idea of "fitting in" because, in my opinion, that means becoming a clone of someone else. i don't give a flying fcuk what anyone else thinks about me. the clothes i wear, the things i say... a lot of stuff about me could be considered "weird". but i don't care.

believe it or not, i'd rather not fit in. i'm not an anti-conformist or anything, but i don't wanna be like anybody else. when i'm myself (100% of the time), i'm really not like anybody else...at all. therefore, i don't fit in. i don't change my attitude, style, way of talking, or way of thinking for anybody but myself. if i'm not accepted, so be it. i don't care. & this is a terrible thread name. =P

not really. i don't think i've ever been accepted by a majority of people. in HS a lot of people hated me. same at my first college. since then, i've learned to be anonymous, that way i won't be bothered by these people.

As long as I have my friends, I'm happy. But yesterday my non-musical friend was absent, so once all the band/chorus people left, I was sitting alone. That was uncomfortable. But it would have been worse if someone came over to me out of pity.

Not really desperate.. I could care less. As long as people don't act rude to me or anything... I could care less, since I don't really like my high school anyway. I don't go to school so I can't really awnser this
but still, I do a few other activities like sports and choir and woodworkign and such..and when I'm new int he courses I care about fitting in cause I Wanna make a good first empression, and I Wanna have at least ONE freind in the course  Anyway, now that it's half way through the year and I'm comfertable in all my after school courses I don't really care...except to like empress this one guy I like *drools* he's so hot. anyway, other than that no, I don't really care what they tihnk about my clothing, or the way I act etc. I alreayd know they like me for who I am, or, as the case may be, hate me...like the guy who put glue on my neck!! the evil little b!cth...yes, well, where was i? ya, I guess I only care at the begining waht ppl think, after that I'm cool.

wow. I used to be just like that when I was in middle school and the first year of high school. I was trying to follow everyone and trying to feel accepted. Now I have finally realized that it doesn't matter.

I care but not as much as others do. I know who are my friends, aqutances *sry thats spelt wrong*, and who I don't like. I act the way I want because I know I have my friends. If someone doesn't like me and thinks I am too crazy or annoying, I don't really care and move on. Hate me if you really want to. I'll deal because I know I have my friends.

yeah...i fit in..sorry to make you feel bad :( well you can make other friends besides the popular kids and still have friends as boys and stuff...thats what i did instead of having friends that were not popular and stuff...and you should have SOME friends that are girls that are not the popular kids and that are not the losers either...im not calling you a loser btw..

for the longest time i was..i`d say 7th-mid 11th i cared about it A LOT..then i realized that it doesnt matter and i would probably never see those ppl again unless they were close friends..and those who matter dont mind =P

Well, it's that good feeling knowing people like you b/c.. you're NICE not popular or w/e. I like that feeling, when people give you respect back in return. B/c some people don't even understand the meaning of respect to me. But idc what people think.

Yeah I try to fit in as possible. Like for volunteers, sport, clubs. But, I never even start to join in any of them because half of them involved in transportation. Besides, I hate riding buses. So it was a big problem for me. But I don't try to fit in with the popular people. I used to, but I just go in my way and try to be popular? hehe.

NO. i dont want to be a loner without friends, but im not going to go any lenghts to be percieved as cool or trendy. i will participtae in a trend if i like it, but if it gets too outta hand i'll get sick of it. that is what you are asking, right? anyways, i just try to be nice as funny as i would with family. nothing to big.
