Honors just bumps up your GPA. It looks good on college apps and transcripts. And it gets hard junior year. Trust me.

im in all honors classes right now in my sophomore year. its not really that hard, actually... they say it gets harder as you get into junior and senior yr. though. I guess its just college prep with less explanation and the course goes much faster so you learn more material.

Ehh, I'm in Horizons. You get the same GPA points...it's just harder, I guess, which is kind of gay.

Well Im in Honors English.... I couldve been in many other honors classes but Im too lazy to do my work. The laziness finally caught up with me this year and my grades are horrible. pinch.gif

Oh and I skipped a year in science. Im taking Biology instead of IPC (Intergrated Physics and Chemistry)

.......

Some advice: Always at least know whats going on in class so when you do decide to actually work, lol, you know what youre doing.

I failed to do that and now Im completely lost! Usually I know what to do but just dont do my homework but this year its so different! UGH! Im such an idiot!

AP (advanced placement)-which by the way, I am in-is actually the same thing as honors i guess you can say. Well, I am in honors, its kinda like, sometimes they give you more slack cuz ur in honors, but it depends by teacher. In honors, you learn the same stuff as the people who aren't but its harder, or it just challenges you I guess you can say. Correct me if I'm wrong please!

Yes, all us CBers are so smart we should ALL b in honors! ^_^

honors is SO hard! but then again if you work hard, and actually try then it gets easier...as i found out happy.gif but in my school ap- is a college course, and depending on what college you chose you may get credit for that class so you wouldnt have to take it, and honors- is just a higher placement in the regular couse...plus u gotta take it if you want to recieve an advance studies diploma (which i hope to recieve)

GT - Gifted & Talented

Pre AP - Pre advance placement

AP - " "

I'm in it all. [Though some are the same really.]

It's worth the work really. Even if I get bored 3/4 of the time... I work too fast.

I want to be in Magna Carta when I graduate, along with valedictorian.

I'm competing[sp?] with this friend of mines, and it's pretty close even though we're in the 8th grade.

me too. Did you take the algebra readiness test in 7th grade? Because I had to, in order to skip prealgebra. I passed :D Now I'm taking AP Calculus my junior year.

Most of my classes were honors anyway.

Actually, in my school, ONLY AP classes boost up the GPA. And usually people take AP classes junior year, but a selected few had the choice of taking an AP class sophmore year.

Actually, it seems as if my honors classes that I took in sophmore and freshman year were fairly easy.. actually it was easier than my friend's regular classes, they weren't in honors. And those that weren't had to work alot. They had to write a whole bunch of essays and whatnot, because they had to be taught alot to be ready to get in college.

But yea, by junior year, AP and honors get tougher and tougher.

I used to be in GT Seminar, in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Haha then I got kicked out when high school came, along with some of my seminar acquaintances who used to be in GT Seminar in middle school as well. Only a selected few, who always got straight A's and were the smartest of us all, stayed in. So really, only 4 of the 20 students who are still in GT Seminar for high school came from my school.. the other 16 came from other school(s).

i am :]
its fairly easy, at leats it is for me, seeing as how english is my good subject, and is the honors class I hace. if you have the grades, then yes you will gte into a good college. you deifintly get looked at for being in an hoors class. usually, you get an extra point added to your gpa per class. its also pretty fun, what with the interesting books and discussions. cool.gif
