ok, I take band right?? well the class is fun and everything but recently when we are playing, my ear would start buzzing. And today, when we played our scales and everything my ears were buzzing like hell and it felt like they are numb. I've never had a problem, but now i do, it's driving me crazy, it's like my sound is hitting my eardrum like there is an earthquake inside my ear, oh, and it's mostly my right ear. I don't know, i haven't played for a year, and maybe i am adjusting?? Is it going to do me damages?

Ah, that happens once in a while. Either clean your ear out, or just live with it. If it persists, and the sound is getting softer and softer, ye might wanna see your doctor.

band gives me a headache. i cant go to school without aspirin anymore

but that might be because im going blind, rather than deaf

yeah, i really dont think that if band is making your ears hurt you want to get a hearing aid. definitely not the solution. last week the band director started playing the symbols right next to my ears. ow. had i a hearing aid, i would have died.

no it happened to me too. you wont go deaf. you just need to clean inside your ear and cover it for awhile. that's good that you stopped doing the band or did you not do that yet? it's because you heard so many loud music or loud songs. i always hear loud music when i was in 6th grade to 9th grade..but now i just low the volume these days. well you can go deaf if you always heard a loud music/loud sound throughout your life, you might as well get deaf in your 50 or 60 years of age. cause that's when your muscle gets weak...heh

anyways i heard that our band is pretty good, compared to some other bands... what school are you from??

btw i personally think that my ears are clean, it's probably not the ear wax thing... when my ear vibrates my whole brain goes blank.

sort of, i told the band teacher that i am not going to play today because my ears are buzzing like crazy.. but i haven't OFFICIALLY stopped playing, well, i guess i am now since there is no band class for the next 2/3 weeks..

uh that not good. i don't care if your parents are "cheap" go see your doctor. u prolly won't go deaf, but it's betta to be safe then sorry happy.gif lol but you can tell your parents that you have a "life threatening ear disease" so they will take you. or just make an appt by yourself and go after school or somethan

Seeing the doctor shouldnt be too hard... Try to get hold of your insurance card (im sure ur parents has one for you but their holding it), bring about 10-15 dollars and find a ride to your family doctor. Make an appointment first! Just tell them you want a physical and theyll include a hearing test with it usually. WHile ur there u can ask ur doctor anything.

Bleh this year alone ive been to the doctor's like 50 billion times... suxs.

well i'll probably just wait till after winter break since finals starts tomorrow and we won't be playing for 2 weeks, if it comes back, i'll just tel my parents that it really bothers me.

my mom'll probably go "don't lie, 15 dollars, it wastes money and who have time to take you to the doctors?? i could've bought 2 boxes of apples with 15 dollars..."

thats for me to know, and you to find out happy.gif (i love immitating elementary schoolers)[not really]

your band is pretty good, but only compared to those in alabama and tennessee that you competed against iin rome. well, and chattahoochee, so basically, youre alright, but cobb and other gwinnett bands are a whole lot better. at the rome competition, we won the whole thing, but your band won your class because we were a class higher. last year, however, we were in your class, and we won everything in class, second in competition, and left your band with nothing, because oconee at least had majorettes, which neither of our bands dont, so parkview got nothing.

do you march? band isnt cool unless you march

quit cheerleading, and march if thats the issue

and layloo, yes, parkview is fairly close to parkview...in the same county at least.

speaking of collins hill, that is a good band. worthy.gif i </3 our local non-cobb county BOA finalists

no, it'll probably take me pretty long to figure it out... how did you find it out??
no i don't march, i heard that it's really exhausting and it's really time consuming, not worth it. you go to layloo(sorry, that IS a school right??)?? even if i quit cheerleading i still have debate.. so yeah.
