At our school we have to wear IDs. It totally sucks! If you have to wear an ID to school what state do you live in?

when i was in middle in washington we had ids but they served no purpose
when i was in 9th in washington we had ids but they also served no purpose now im in 10th in tennessee and we dont have ids |

i do. if you don't have your ID you get this yellow fake ID and if you get those for 2days straight you get a session and if you keep getting the fake IDs then you get suspended..err..so stupid

We have IDs, but we only need the numbers on them...just to find out our grades in certain classes and for the library. They're just cards...we don't wear them.
 The last time I actually used it was in middle school when you needed them to get into the dances.

well, we only have like 2 or three dances a year (homecoming and prom) and by the time homecoming came around, we still didnt have our ids, so they must not have asked for them. i wouldnt know, i didnt go, but i suppose they cant have...hmmm....

^i know less about football games than dances, since i dont have to pay, and neither do most of my friends (well, if we werent in band, we wouldnt go anyway, but thats not the point)

I live in California, and we don't have to wear ids. Instead, our high school gives us id cards...we use it sometimes but usually we use our student ID more often to identify ourselves.

But we have "buspasses" like, when u go on a bus... u have to have it or else u get detention.. or you jsut don't ride the bus. (school bus) |

I have to wear a lanyard thing with the ID. I'm use to it now.. if you don't wear it you get detention. It doesn't bother me at all..
I live in California.. and all the schools in our district have IDs.. because it's a closed campus and yeah. |

Yes, and it's soo annoying, because at the start of every period the teachers check to see if your still wearing them. sucks. lol so sometimes random ppl just go up to each other in the hall and switch id's. as a protest. lol it's kinda funny when some guy comes up to me that i don't know and is like, "hey wanna switch?" and i'm like, "what the hell,,sure!"
lol the teachers don't know the difference, i have no clue why we have them

i live in CA we have ID cards, and you have to have it in order to LEAVE the school.. its hell after school with a million angry people piling up at all the gates trying to get out, but they have to check EVERY persons ID before you leave
 and you also need it if you want to use the computers or if you want to check your grades

we have ID's. I live in Illinois. they tell us if we don't have them on us the teachers could give us detentions. but nobody really cares. not even the teachers so it doesn't really matter.

We have IDs but you don't have to wear them, the only reason we have them is because a lot off ppl ride Marta (the train/bus system) and because you get your movie half priced with it...if i had to wear my ID at school, i'd hate it my ID picture is hellah ugly!

We dont wear ID's BUT we do get some... so we can use them for things like discounts and stuff at some stores at times or just ID. |

Yes, we HAVE to wear ID's at school. It's this thing to prevent a terrorist attack or something. If we get caught without it, we have to be escorted to the office. We even have to scan in at school.

I don't quite grasp the concept at our school.
They give us ID's [mainly for lunch & the library] They used to check them everymorning. I guess that got old? They don't check ever, they've even give out pin numbers for lunch [so you don't need your ID] so the only time you need it is for the library. kind of pointless if you ask me. yeah i never have mine with me.. and i've lost mine atleast 3 times and they cost $5 for a new one, crazy.

well, we have student IDs. but it's not nessesary to be worn around, it's just for lunch and the library.

haha id! never in belgium,if it ever happens,students will protest,in my school once they said we were gonna start wearing uniforms,it was april fool's day,half of the school bought it,but i didnt buy it and a lot of students were screaming at the principal that they were gonna change school and it was REALLY ugly and the principal told us that it was just a joke,but wow,the students trashed the toilets and all,so i dont think wearing an id is a good idea!

we dont hav to wear IDs at school, but we're req. to hav them to be able to access special stuff. we cant get lib books or attend ANY event w/o them so we hav to HAVE THEM even tho we dont have to WEAR em. but i put "yes" anyways..

yeah. we're required. policy is "no id, no entry". you can't enter school without your id. it sucks. but they say it's for security or whatever.

I'm not sure what you mean by "wearing" ids to school..........I'm guessing my one is a no
At my school (Australia, NSW), we have ID photo cards for doing several things (show and give to librarian to keep for us to go on internet, borrow books, checking our attendance/subjects online) And for the eldest grade students(yr 12), we have a swipe on electronic system for attendance, in the morning I just swipe on with my Id card and just go to class! No need for the traditional roll call of sittin in a class room and waiting for the teacher to call our names for the next 10 minutes! YES! |

the school says we do and they're right..if you don't have it, then you get detention for one hour and they charge you for a temp ID. But I rarely ever wear mines unless its like club day. it's in florida.

my school only uses id's for borrowing books/resources from the library and logging onto a computer. |

I have a school I.D and I just keep it in my wallet. I would forget if I constantly had to wear it.

I don't have to wear my ID (I'm in college, though). In high school, I wasn't required to, either.
However, right now, as a first year at the college I'm at, I'd be utterly screwed if I didn't have my ID on hand at all times since I need it to get into my building, to get into the dining commons, to ride the bus, etc. |

We get issued ID's, and we supposedly have to have them on us at all times... But we only really need them for the library or paying for tickets and such.

i don't 'wear' it but my whole campus needs it even the staff
most, maybe all the high schools in the bronx, queens, brooklyn and manhattan needs id as for metal detectors... impact schools have them... not sure about everyone else |

We havee them but we don't have to WEAR them. That would suck. It's just for getting readmits and into school events..

Middle of nowhere, California. We don't have to wear ID's but we have to have them handy for the library, dances, games and leaving campus and random stuff like parking permits.

Nope I live in 254 area in TX... It doesn't matter what state you are in. It just depends on your ISD school rules.
