Shoot I really forget if this topic has been made before so my bad.

I refer to it as a ghost dream b/c what happens is.. your body is paralyzed and there is a ghost choking you. You can't get up. You know you're somewhat awake, somewhat dreaming and you're trying to get out of that dream state. Then it takes an incredible amount of effort to get out of it.

It's never happened up until last school yr. Now finally it's happened at my new apartment. So I'm like yea.. that's retarded.

My dream was.. this girl (I have no idea who) wanted me to wash her jeans and I walked over to the washer, but there were clothes everywhere. I handed them back and told her to wash them herself. As I was putting on my shoes to leave, she came over and started to pour a can of coke on me from my neck down.

This is when I realized I could feel it happening.. where a numbness took over my neck and I was trying my hardest to get up, yell, and move my arms. And I knew my friend was on my computer while I was napping (It was like 2 pm) so it wasn't as scary as the ones that happen at night. But I finally managed to get out, "OH F$^@!"

It sucks. I heard a trick to getting out of it quicker is getting your arms up. No idea

It used to happen to me all the time at my old house. When i'm falling asleep a dream appears.. and i'm always getting chase by a ghost. One time.. i fell asleep on the couch and my sister was sit right next to me.. and it happened.. i tried to scream for her.. but she can't hear me sad.gif
Sometimes.. i can hear voices.. cry.gif usually a man. It happened so often that i know a faster way to break away from it.. you either wiggle your toe or fingers. Like what Evey said.. it usually happens when u are laying flat on your back.
I got so used to it.. i even sometimes try to see how long i can stay like that or even try to talk to "it". It got to the point where i couldn't breathe anymore.. so I stopped doing that.
At first it's scary cause u don't know what was happening.. but if it happens every night.. u'll get used to it.

sleep paralysis is also known as "old hag" syndrome

The name of the phenomenon comes from the superstitious belief that a witch - or an old hag - sits or "rides" the chest of the victims, rendering them immobile. Although that explanation isn't taken very seriously nowadays, the perplexing and often very frightening nature of the phenomenon leads many people to believe that there are supernatural forces at work - ghosts or demons.

Here is a "The Scientific Explanation"

Yea, that happens to me all the time, but there's never any ghosts.

I usually have a dream where I am face down in my pillow, and then I get all claustrophobic that I can't breathe, but when I try to use my arms to get up the won't move, like my body is being pumped with nirtous oxide,

lol yeah me and kim post this topic about lol..

but anyways the trick to get it out is "put your arms in your chest."

anyways..... it's not a ghost, it's a "demon"... people thinks it's a ghost, but it's not. it's a demon... good thing you're not me because i've experienced it like 93423904823904823 times lol... if you go through that many times, you'll get a ghost with long black hair crawling to you while you're lying down on the bed. good luck....*gulp*

Aaah I've heard that happening to some people recently. It's supposed to be Sleep Paralysis. Sometimes it feels as if you can't breathe. Fortunately, I have not gotten Sleep Paralysis before. It's supposed to be caused by stress or something.

OMG, THATS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. MY BODY GOT PARALYZED. I TOLD MY MOM ABOUT IT, SHE SAID SLEEP MORE, BUT I WAS LIKE FUZ NO! IT HAPPENED TO ME LIKE 5 TIMES, AND RECENTLY IT HAPPENED IN MY BARRACKS ROOM. I FEEL LIKE I CANT BREATH AND I FEEL LIKE 1000 LBS IS ALL OVER ON TOP OF MY BODY. YEAH, I TALKED ABOUT THIS TOPIC LIKE LOOONG AGO. BUT THAT SHIZIT IS SCARY ISNT IT!!!!

I USED TO THINK IT WAS THE TEDDY BEARS... I SWEAR I SAW IT MOVING, SO I HIT IT WITH A NUNCHUCK.

ANYWAY, I USED TO THINK THAT IT WAS A SEIZURE, BUT THERES NO WAY I COULDVE SURVIVIED LIKE 10 OF THOSE.

I FEEL YOU THOUGH. THATS SCARY.
