Tounge Pierced, does it hurt? Options

Im planning to get my tounge pierced..of course without my moms permission..and since I dont have to pay for it ( it cost about 600 pesos) and im planning to get the nail head ring...my onlyy concern is if it will hurt ( im big on pain )..and how much does your tounge swell.

um, yes. i dont know how much, haventgotten mine, but yes it hurts and it can be pretty inconvenient and tacky too though

lmfao they all say it don't hurt when it really does. i said my ears didn't hurt when i pierced them but i did when i went to bed...but anyways i know like 4 people that have their tongue pierced and 2 said it didn't hurt and 2 said it did. I WANT MINE PIERCED...overprotective parents..pfft

well you know when you get your ears pierced, and it kinda pinches \hurts?? i kinda imagine it would feel 10x worse! i dont have my touge pierced, but i imagine it would hurt.....a lot.and especialy after its done.

yes you did read wrong..My intentions are to do is strictly proffesional (im not stupid enough to do it myself )..plus Im not one of those people who follow im a leader so If i want one its because I want to have one..none of my close friends have and the people who I know who do have it I hardly speak to so it has nothing to do with them...All i know is that it hurts afterwards but I wanna know during the process.

i agree. i don`t think it`ll hurt once you get it cause they`re gonna do it really fast. it`s afterwards that the pain will kick in. it`s like piercing your ears but with more strict pain. i would wanna get one. just don`t know where around here . but anyways.. i give 2 thumbs up to how it looks

oh and my friend said that this guy`s tongue got infected and it split in half. but i learned in this show [that had this guy split his tongue-body modification] that his tongue accidently attached together again cause he took good care of it. i doubt that happens to many people who pierce their tongues. just take care of it good.

i don't have one myself, but my friend got hers peirced and she said it hurt after the actual peircing happened, but i dunno

Well Im not sure on how much it hurts, but my friend got her tounge pierced and like two days after she got it pierced it started to swell up so badly that she couldn't talk or when she ate something it hurt her mouth so bad... Also I remember someone telling me this but when you get your tounge pierced you lose some of your taste buds...

i don't have my tounge peirced but i can probably imagine that it does hurt.
some of my other friends say that they couldn't eat or drink anything for about a day and a half.
and yeah, you do lose taste buds.

It doesn't hurt when u get it done on the spot. It's a fast process. but the next day.. it'll be swollen.. and it's really hard to eat... it'll feel like a cold sore.. for i think about a week.. i cant' remember. I had mines for almost 5 yrs now.. i sometimes forget that it's in there.. haha

I got my tounge pierced and Yes, it hurts im not going to lie about it.. like other people says that it doesn`t hurt but really it does. Mines swell`d up for about a good two weeks..all I ate was soup and drank water for that time. But, it doesn`t hurt as much as getting your navel pierced.Also like kim said it doesn`t hurt when you get it on the spot it is fast. I had mine for 3 years.. Good luck though =)

It hurts when your pierce your ear and now it's on your tounge. So I'm guessing it'll be like 10x more painful than your ear

well it doesn't hurt THAT much...i mean...it's a little disturbing that when the needle goes in u kinda feel that "rip...rip" thing goin on...but i mean once it's in it just starts to feel really warm and throbs a little...kinda like when u bite ur tongue really hard...i think it hurts more afterwards...feels sore...and u can't talk straight for a week or so...at first i thought the lisp was going to be permanent...but after a while u forget it's there...

It doesnt really hurt when you get it done, just a few hours later. It probably hurt the most out of all my piercings. (i also have my ears 3 times each, belly button, and my nose).

it doesn't hurt. i did it twice. lol. i took it out the first time, i don't know why. but yeah, you only feel your tongue getting pierced the first time and you can't feel your tongue after and it's hard to eat because you're not used to your tongue ring yet and your tongue is swollen (i'm serious. REALLY swollen). swollen to the point where you lisp. it's really bad. but it's only for a week ! :] my friends made fun of me like crazy.. haha. but its okay. i still have it :) just applying my 2cents hehe

it really depends on the person and how much they can tolerate pain..also depends on where you get it done blah blah blah..when my friend and i got it done..no..it didnt hurt at all
