which would you prefer to wear?

contact lens takes more time but it's invisble

glasses are simple just put it on but some people don't like them.

I'd prefer contacts. I use glasses for far distance seeing, but I only use them rarely. I wish I had contacts so that I wouldn't have to squint to read something 7 feet away without altering my appearance.

contacts slow the degrading of your eyes, because with contacts you don't strain to see the distance between the lens and your eye. anyone who wears both will tell you, things look bigger thought contacts because that distance is gone.

however, contacts can be annoying if they mess up. and your eyes gradually become allergic to them, so if you wear contacts now, sooner or later you have to go back to glasses. unless contact technology changes.

honestly, neither is the solution to poor eyesight. contacts and glasses treat the syptom, not the problem. the problem is the change of shape of the lens in your eye, so light is bent the wrong way and objects are out of focus. Glasses/Contacts compensate for this bending. However, the true solution would be laser surgery (expensive) or special contacts that bend your lenses back into shape (very expensive, yes they do have these, they're kinda like braces, but instead of bending teeth it bends your lenses).

yea, those contacts you wear it to sleep, what it does is it compresses your cornea which gives you perfect eye sight for a day. kyro is too smart ><" bend light, and all that? i didn't even get it. lol

laser surgery isn't refined...

in fact, your vision doesn't become perfect... you may still need to wear glasses

in addition, the laser surgery doesn't even get good results most the time

That's true. You don't get 20/20 vision afterwards. It's not perfect.

yea lasic eye surgery isnt perfect.

there are so many things that arent perfect that they always seem to be the perfect solution for everything like:

teeth whitening... it only lasts for 6 months and they turn back to the yellow stuff called your original teeth.

botox... that only lasts for 6 weeks.. and its also dangerous cause they can put the needle too much into your head. then your wrinkles come bacl.

society and media only make it seem pefect but its no solution ... its only the solution to your problem for only 6 months lol.

i prefer contact lens because they're invisible and like glasses, you can feel something on your eye... it's really annoying to wear glasses and if a basketball gets to your face, your glasses can be broken! and if the glass of the glasses broke, then it can damage your eye even more lol.. so yeah i prefer contact lens^^;; i never want to wear glasses because i always think they give me bad luck when i go to P.E. class T_T

I would rather not have either. Glasses are known to potentially make your eyesite worsen.

I don't need them, though.

I would get lazer surgery, and correct it, though.

i prefer glasses.
Glasses are simply easy to put on.
Nobody should complain if they dont want to put glasses on, yet, they
do not have contacts.
contacts disturbs my eyes.
it hurts and takes time to put it in, and it can fall out easily
and sometimes cause even more problems to your eyes.
Glasses, period.

I wish I had the time for contacts in the morning, but I slap the snooze button 4 times so that's 40 minutes past when I'm supposed to wake up... meaning usually(try 9/10 times) I barely get breakfast and hygience done... much less anything else.

Yeah, I've been wearing glasses since I was 6 months old for this disease I have.

I never thought I would wear contacts for fear of putting something in my eye.

I wear them though. I think that contacts are better cause I don't have to strain as much & they are invisible. My glasses use to get knocked off constantly.

I still love my glasses though and wear them just as much as my contacts.

So, I say both happy.gif

You sure you don't mean cornea? I have corneal corrective lenses. They aren't THAT expensive. It's like $400 a year for me or something like that. Cheaper than my braces, I'll tell you that. Of course insurance doesn't cover the cost of these lenses so we pay full price. When I first got them back in June 16th, 1997 I was one of the youngest patients to get them, they cost me well over $1,000 then. It would be pretty hard to shape the lens from outside the eye. But my lenses don't give me 20/20 vision so that kind of sucks, my doctor says my vision is about 20/20 but even if it is, it's pretty blurry. Everything looks good with the lenses on though since my doc says that then my vision is like 20/15.
