Long story..but PLEASE help!! Options

Ok.. I have 2 xangas, one I use to just mess around and test layouts on to see if I like them, and one I actually post on and spent a million years making... well, I was making the tester one be Gwen Stefani themed, and I was in the CLAF of the tester one, and I wanted a code that I had on my NORMAL xanga, so I opened a new window and went to xanga and signed in as my NORMAL user, went to CLAF on that one [so at this time I have 2 windows open, the CLAF of my tester xanga, and the CLAF of my real xanga], well, so I find the code, copy it from my normal xanga, and open the other window [the CLAF page of the tester xanga] and paste it on there, and click save. OOPS well I was still signed in as my normal user, so it saved over EVERYTHING that I had on my normal xanga to that of the tester xanga and now they BOTH have the same layout and my beloved one that I spent so long to make is all gone is there ANY way to get it back or do I have to start from scratch to try and re-make it

that has happened to me before! i think you have to start from scratch, but im not positive unless you saved the code somewhere

nope, I am a retard who likes to not save things so its ok I guess I am just royally fu**ed

there's a lesson for you, always press PREVIEW.
and that happened to me... unless you saved the code on notepad or something like I always do, or have another xanga where you have ur xanga code layout then there's no other way than to re-do the layout.
or maybe there is another way that i dont know of, but i'm sure there isn't.

normally when I press preview nothing changes but if I save it it does, so I always just save it, but oh well it really doesn't matter...

I think it was probably a code I had on there that also disabled it or something, because I can never do public previews either, but this is beginning to get off topic lol

Wow, that really sucks nuts, I remember that just happened to me yesterday. I was pissed, and I started from scratch when I made myne, but now that I got to redo it, I think it looks a lil better than it used to...
Maybe something to look forward to???

i was crying like there was no tomarrow. unfortunatly, yes, you may have to start over if you didnt save the previous codes.im sorry! but now you know better, right? hope your new layout is cool [nd gets saved///]. ;]

see, this is why you should travel around cb. you can use the xanga skin previewer that lets you edit everything without your xanga and if you mess up, nothing will happen and you can fix it. it's located in the programming tools at the top in programming chat.

Bah, I always save my codes on notepad and then repaste everything when testing it out.

Maybe you can have a notepad and like paste all those xanga links to it. Then instead of opening your REAL xanga (the one you mostly use) open the notepad instead.
