Okay. I heard this story from my Biology teacher...and I'm bored, so I'm going to share this with you guys:
This guy and his wife went camping out doors. Like REAL camping. You catch your food, and sleep in the forest...etc. So the guy caught some fish but didn't cook them fully. Turns out, one of them had tapeworm eggs in it. He digested it, but nothing really happened. Two months later, he was skinnier. One day, he went to -well- crap and somehow, it was really painful for him. All of a sudden, some clear string-like thing comes out of his hole. The man feels a burst of pain when the clear thing starts wiggling. This man is in tears now from the pain, and he's calling his wife over. The wife comes and takes a look at the worm and runs to get scissors. She finally cuts the thing, but the rest of the worm crawls back up the guy's hole. Sick, right? Turns out that the tapeworm eggs in his digestive tract started growing, and they attached themselves to his large intestines. So whenever he digests food, the food passes through the intestines, but instead, they were eaten by the tapeworms. That was why he was so skinny... The stories basically over: The guy went to his doctor. Doctor gives medicine, guy poops it back out. THE END. |

I've read about tapeworms in my bio book. Yea it does attach tot he intestines and it sucks up all the nutrients that your body needs. That's probably why he got thinner. Ever since I learned about it in 8th grade, I've been looking at every meats before I eat them =X

Having a tapeworm won't make you skinny. Tapeworms themselves gain weight so either your weight goes down only a few pounds or stays the same. This woman had a tapeworm and only when they removed it did she lose 20+ pounds. Also, it's extremely dangerous because tapeworms excret cysts out. They travel in the blood and go to the brain. After awhile, it causes major damage.

Yeah, there are weight loss things that like, have the tapeworm in it, but you don't know it [duhh] and then you're like housing a tapeworm inside you. I saw it on some ficticious medical mystry show, but that part is true. As for a story of having them in you? We were watching this thing in bio, and the guy feels it coming out of his but, so he calls to his wife, "honey come here!" and she looks at his butt. So my bio teacher goes, "now that's love."

after doctor gave him the medicine and poop, what happen ? did it work, is he okay now, is he having a hard time digesting the pills, and yea ... ?
tape worm isnt that bad, its OKAY if you eat it as long it doesnt stay in the stomach too long. after a week, you go see a doctor right away for your pills to kill em all ! i saw somthing like this in like mythbusters or something... they had "tape worm pills" that will help u loose weight fast.... but it turns out that every time u eat u dont get bigger but smaller and one morning u wake up see the tape worm in your bed matt. .... end of story.... but it was a myth tho.
